Flow Like Water from the Avatar: The Last Airbender soundtrack (2010 movie of M.Night Shyamalan). Composed by James Newton Howard. This is another master piece of the maestro James Newton Howard!
And it also fits the piano extremely well. There is also a piano version on the Night after Night album (2023) but it's different then the original recording of the soundtrack. I might do a cover of the Night After Night version one day @JamesNewtonHowardMusic
I hope you enjoy playing this wonderful theme yourself with this piano tutorial. Together with the sheet music and the Midi file it should be a fun way to learn this masterpiece from The Avatar movie.
Happy Sunday!

Really intriguing soundtrack, James Newton Howard is the master of harmonies! What an awesome cover, full of intensity âš
JNH is really a master of harmonies and his melodies are incredibleâ€
My first impression, as well! I'm a budding composer and seeing his harmonies laid out on a keyboard gives me a much greater appreciation for how complex and imaginative JNH's vertical writing is.
Excellent...
Thanks!
Great melody and cover. My first post as a member

No this video has to be the craziest coincidence Iâve ever experienced. Let me explain.
So two weeks ago I went snowboarding in the backcountry of northern Sweden. I needed something to listen to while I was walking up the mountains and I found the newly released ATLA season 1 ost re-recorded for Spotify and whatnot. I wandered in the cold with songs like âwinter fall, summer and springâ in my ears.
I just had to rewatch the show and I finished it in about a week and a half. I then finally convinced myself to give LOK a chance but after finishing season 1 I was not very impressed or interested. I watched some footage of the new Netflix show and it looked awful. But it reminded me of the original live action movie I watched as a kid. I think at the time of its release I wasnât really hooked by the Nickelodeon show. It was just another to show. But the movie to me was amazing. As kid you are able to fill in missing plot holes and since I donât think I was old enough to really appreciate the show I was drawn much more to the simplicity and action of the movie.
In 2020 when the ATLA show released on Netflix and I was able to appreciate it fully I somehow just adapted the popular opinion about the movie. That it was shit compared to the show. But today at the exact time of release of this video I watched the movie again after probably 10 years. And honestly it was way better than I had made it in my mind. Primarily because compared to what I saw of the new live action adaptation, the movie was actually good looking. And I actually liked most of the changes they did. I feel like they made it more grounded which fits a love action mood. Even though it meant sacrificing some of the iconic elements from the og animated show. I obviously prefer the animated show though. Like itâs. A million times better.
Anyways after rewatching the movie I had to sit down by my piano and started meddling this song. After a bit I wanted to see if anyone had played it on CZcams. I found the video of the musicians rewriting for piano and I found this video. Which to my surprise was released just 40 minutes prior. Absolutely mindboggling. Anyways thatâs all. If you want to disvuss about the movie vs the show or whatever I am happy to elaborate further.
It would be really cool to see you do something like "Run Program: Sentionauts" from "Beyond the Black Rainbow".
that's funny because a few weeks ago I was listening to your cover from 2011, and was about to ask for a tutorial.
Finally
What do you mean?
Iâve been looking for a tutorial for this song u a life saver
