    The point of sealing cracks in asphalt pavement is not to make it look pretty and new. It is to prevent water from getting in underneath the pavement and causing large problems. Asphalt is going to crack, so does concrete. Maintain it, fill and seal cracks when they appear and it will last 30+ years.

    I couldn’t help but notice after the toy car went by, the crack repair looks pretty bad. See for yourself, just freeze and view full frame. What happened?

      Good eye, I saw it too
      I say,
      Pre seal that crack with sealer, then follow it up with bagged cold mix. Tamp it down and top coat it with asphalt sealer. You'll have better results with conventional methods.
      These gimmick products never catch on. Why, because they arent better.

      Truth be told…most crack fillers, crack sealants, and crack repairs look pretty bad. Been in this business for many years and have tried a lot of different crack repairs products. They all stand out even after pavement sealer has been applied on top. I tell homeowner/customers, if you hate the look of the crack in your driveway you are probably gonna hate the look of the crackfiller even more.

    If it’s several inches deep should I be putting rocks or anything below it?

    Ending pictures appear to show the product being ruff/coarse and does not look like it will be flexible for expansion and contraction.

    Have you tested how your products hold up against road salt and and extreme cold / heat fluctuations?

      Sorry for the not responding ....for 9 months! That was our bad. The good news is TROWELPAVE products are much more reliable. HA! To answer your questions, TrowelPave is not susceptible to freeze/thaw, extreme heat, road salts or other chemicals. Once it's cured, it's solidly in place.

      I have asked our TrowelPave field crew to see if they have any photos. I'll hopefully have an answer this week (or sooner).

      That would be great. I'm hesitant due to cosmetic issues. Aka what's it look like?

    • @TechniSoil
      @TechniSoil  Před 3 lety +1

      @@kathyanstey3399 It will be markedly different (i.e. a 'fresh' asphalt look). If you're worried of it 'standing out' once repaired, you can always use our (very easy to apply) ReThink Asphalt sealant; then you can have a 'new asphalt' look throughout.

      Hi Wayne. Does that mean that you used it and it cracked after? How long until it cracked? Would you recommend this?
