- Cousin bought a new Can Am. Here is a walk around vid of the machine, clips of us tooling around on it, with a few clips of the Big Bear hitting some mud for the first time with 30'' Sludgehammers. Future upgrades for the Outlander are possible RJWC Exhaust, programmer, Snorkels, and 28'' Kenda Executioners. We will see though. Thank you for watching!!! Like, Comment, Subscribe!!!
If he really wants to hold on, cv tech primary and re flash. Hold on!
I e tried talking him into all kind of mods and he likes guns, fishing and hunting too much lmao… which is not a problem in my book
@@grizzlygreg8922 can’t argue with that! Sadly there is more left on the table from the factory.
Pretty awesome when your stock 4x4 quack can do wheelies!
For sure!!!
I hope I’ll be able to buy one of these in near future.
Yeah man hopefully this year there are can ams in stock around me!!
Great video and nice can-am power amazing 👍
Thank you for watching!
How do you like this compared to the Grizzly? In the market and am between the 19 Grizzly EPS SE or the Can Am Outlander 850 XT, curious what your thoughts are.
I would have a 19 Grizz SE in the garage already if I didn't just buy the RZR lol. Yamaha went back to the 686 cc which I think is awesome!! That engine is bullet proof. Comes with Maxxis Zilla. At a cheaper price, but Yea the outlander 850 has power and lots of it. I just don't think I will ever go Can-Am just cause I'm stubborn. A lot of electronics on them things. But if you have the money to spend, Can-Am would be the way to go.
The rear axles seem to be out in the open with no protection from rocks... maybe just looks worse on the video? Usually the bottom a arms protect the shafts
yea can-am uses a little different of a set up, but so far he hasn't had a problem with axles or boots.
Its trailing arm setup different suspension
850 would have an extended chassis if it was a max. No?
I do believe you are correct, but not certain
I just picked up a 19 Kodiak. It’s a beast!
What is creates that whining noise? Seems most Can-Am's have it, but not other brands.
The can-am CVT has a whining to it. I do know that. It's normal, if you watch some of Ostacrusier's deep water videos, once the exhaust goes under the whining is easily heard.
the vtwin dual parallel cylinders is the reason it whines
So 2 years later, any issues? Reliable? Worth the money?
He’s only got like 500 miles on it, but other then general maintenance and one front axle, no issues, he has been running 28” OL2 also
Rear diff seal goes. A lot of the back lash tolerances are bad. Causes pre mature wear.
So this thing gets through mud ok? I’ve been debating whether to get this one or the XMR model because my local trails are fairly muddy, but I don’t want to spend the extra money if I don’t have to.
If money isn't an issue go XMR. But I will say the 850 XT is plenty of machine for 3-4 grand less. Set of mud tires and maybe a snorkel and you have your self a mud machine. But in the end it is your call.
Dont go mudding if you dont plan to relocate your radiator!!
Wise choice. I like the 850 way more than the 1000
Gary Crumrine why?
Probably because he has a 850, and not a 1000.
Gary Crumrine is the 850 smoother than the 1000 or something? Runs cooler?
I test drove them at a dealer demo. The 1000 feels like it doesn't have enough brakes for its speed and weight. But if you're competing you need all the hp so 1000 is a clear choice.

1000’s don’t have an extended chassis unless it’s an XMR
can-am.brp.com/off-road/build-and-price/vehicle-configuration.html?configAirProfileName=BRP_ATV&configAirPlatformId=ATV_OUTLANDER&modelYear=2018 you can buy all 650s with an extended chassi @get wrecked
Rasmus Köster - ??. The poster is talking about an 850 XT, and stated it doesn’t have the extended chassis like the 1000’s do..... all XT’s come in an extended chassis, in an XMR only the 1000 has an extended chassis.
Get Wrecked now that the updated 2019s are out you can get the XMRs. with the normal short chassis
In the 850 yes, the 1000XMR is exclusively on the LWB chassis. The renegade being the exception, it is 1000, and also short chassis.
No different in a 850 then a 1000. Except the motor.
Not true. The 850 comes with a throttle cable on this year. 1k comes with ITC. ITC also gives quick swap drive modes.
2020 will have ITC on the 850s as well
You going to Quadna this year?
Yes I am, will be there Thursday morning!!!
Nice we should go get my King Quad and your grizzly stuck lol
Ten four to that!
why does the 850 sound like that
what do you mean why does it sound like that
where are you,, i am in west central florida,, we have a 2015 can am outlander max xt 1000 2up in camo,, we love it,, bought it brand new in may 2015
Northeast Wisconsin, I'm a Yamaha guy but I would turn a Can Am down. That thing was torque!
Correction, Wouldn't**
cool, thank-you,, nice machine
You can get 1000r motor. Keep on snifin boy u learn. 450 junk. For what u going do with that lil peice of shit??
There is no way that you are doing wheelies with it. I have a 2017 and the only way I'm able to do a wheelies is with a clutch kit.
rrajek you can wheelie a 650. An 850 should be no issue
are you using the right key?
Chris Legare ^
The 850 will wheelie with ease.... must be something wrong with yours
You really must not know what your doing I can stand a 570 up and a 650 straight on its ass
Helmets SMH
Brute 750 all the way
You can keep the brute force
