  • Cousin bought a new Can Am. Here is a walk around vid of the machine, clips of us tooling around on it, with a few clips of the Big Bear hitting some mud for the first time with 30'' Sludgehammers. Future upgrades for the Outlander are possible RJWC Exhaust, programmer, Snorkels, and 28'' Kenda Executioners. We will see though. Thank you for watching!!! Like, Comment, Subscribe!!!

      I e tried talking him into all kind of mods and he likes guns, fishing and hunting too much lmao… which is not a problem in my book

      @@grizzlygreg8922 can’t argue with that! Sadly there is more left on the table from the factory.

    Pretty awesome when your stock 4x4 quack can do wheelies!

    How do you like this compared to the Grizzly? In the market and am between the 19 Grizzly EPS SE or the Can Am Outlander 850 XT, curious what your thoughts are.

    • @grizzlygreg8922
      @grizzlygreg8922  Před 5 lety +1

      I would have a 19 Grizz SE in the garage already if I didn't just buy the RZR lol. Yamaha went back to the 686 cc which I think is awesome!! That engine is bullet proof. Comes with Maxxis Zilla. At a cheaper price, but Yea the outlander 850 has power and lots of it. I just don't think I will ever go Can-Am just cause I'm stubborn. A lot of electronics on them things. But if you have the money to spend, Can-Am would be the way to go.

    The rear axles seem to be out in the open with no protection from rocks... maybe just looks worse on the video? Usually the bottom a arms protect the shafts

      @grizzlygreg8922  Před 5 lety

      yea can-am uses a little different of a set up, but so far he hasn't had a problem with axles or boots.

    What is creates that whining noise? Seems most Can-Am's have it, but not other brands.

    • @grizzlygreg8922
      @grizzlygreg8922  Před 6 lety

      The can-am CVT has a whining to it. I do know that. It's normal, if you watch some of Ostacrusier's deep water videos, once the exhaust goes under the whining is easily heard.

      the vtwin dual parallel cylinders is the reason it whines

    • @grizzlygreg8922
      @grizzlygreg8922  Před 3 lety

      He’s only got like 500 miles on it, but other then general maintenance and one front axle, no issues, he has been running 28” OL2 also

    • @ChevroletTough

      Rear diff seal goes. A lot of the back lash tolerances are bad. Causes pre mature wear.

  • @snowblind8572

    So this thing gets through mud ok? I’ve been debating whether to get this one or the XMR model because my local trails are fairly muddy, but I don’t want to spend the extra money if I don’t have to.

    • @grizzlygreg8922
      @grizzlygreg8922  Před 5 lety

      If money isn't an issue go XMR. But I will say the 850 XT is plenty of machine for 3-4 grand less. Set of mud tires and maybe a snorkel and you have your self a mud machine. But in the end it is your call.

      Gary Crumrine is the 850 smoother than the 1000 or something? Runs cooler?

    • @christopherlarter4386
      @christopherlarter4386 Před 5 lety +1

      I test drove them at a dealer demo. The 1000 feels like it doesn't have enough brakes for its speed and weight. But if you're competing you need all the hp so 1000 is a clear choice.

      Not true. The 850 comes with a throttle cable on this year. 1k comes with ITC. ITC also gives quick swap drive modes.
      2020 will have ITC on the 850s as well
