I love your creepy pasta readings! This one almost seems like a squeal to "radio silence." Like this colorless mass of condemned souls was the "they" the aliens where warning them about.
I wonder if the author meant to write something so lovecraftian?

This reminds me think of the Fermi Paradox, (the theory questioning why the universe seems so lifeless despite being so vast) and how it relates to the Dark Forest Theory, which proposes that perhaps the intelligent alien civilizations that do exist are staying quiet on purpose, so as to avoid attention from dangerous ones who may choose to attack them preemptively.
Makes me wonder, honestly, whether we SHOULD be going out of our way to want to contact aliens and such, and wonder exactly how likely something somewhat resembling these events actually is...
This exudes that sort of chilling calm... that kind that hides at the back of your mind with the faintest of whispers in the dark recesses of consciousness. This was just awesome!

Is it weird I kinda want to see a video game with this set up? XD Maybe even just a walking simulator that has you going thru the days of everything getting worse.
That would be pretty cool! Kinda makes me think of "Everybody's Gone to the Rapture" which is a fantastic walking sim/ adventure art game where you're the only one left in your town and you put the pieces together of what's happened. Not as spooky, but a nice little experience. I recommend.
