That looks great. I find those electroluminescent gadgets light output fades rapidly with use.
The amount of art, patience and craftsmanship is truly amazing. This is beautiful. Great work and thanks for sharing. ❤️
This is so cool. I'd love to make one of these one day.
I can’t believe you routed that by hand. INCREDIBLE work!!
Thanks Jason!!
I kept saying omg everytime you use the big router with that big bit. It puts a smile on my face. You have inspired me to forget about my debt I racked up in home depot and just make things using the tools I bought.
I’ve watched a lot of really dumb neon light videos but I think this is the one I actually love. Going to make this for my music studio in the sessions corner
Wonderful Drew. Would be a great house sign too.
These are great. I used them for my gravestones for Halloween. The neon graveyard. Making an address number sign for deliveries with the one extra left over. And then i see this. Gives me a better idea on how to make it now. Thanks..
Love this! 🥰
Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship
Great work!
I truly am inspired by your video. It came out awesome, thanks for sharing.👊🏽🤙🏽
Beautiful
awesome project and video. Thanks!
Awesome gift
THAT IS FIRE! WOULD LOVE TO MAKE THIS AS GIFTS AND EVEN MY OWN HOME
Great video, thanks for the ideea
That's something what I would need yes.
great job❤
How sweet
very precisely done :)
Instead of using a brush to fill in the groove, you can use a plastic cylinder butter, which is very effective and does not stick to the outside.
looks good!
Thanks Jason 👍
dude, youre amazing! thanks for sharing
Thanks!
I like this
I want to make this so much ❤❤❤
You are sick dude 🥰 , I love all what you have build, I'm your new fans from Indonesia
Ok this is nice. Why do I like this one more than the acrylic signs I’ve seen too?
Great idea and build!
I wish EL wire lasted longer. It does wear out and dim over time - usually about three years. :(
If anyone needs a CNC it’s you! Well done by hand but a CNC would have really helped you!
They are ridiculously expensive, alot of people going back to the old ways, it needs to be done, less lazy youth
The young yard Bjorn PNY is here! … Get the Ol Electric moah over here! I’m Already to go to Moab!
Thumbs Up!
Wow
Love this video! What depth did you do your plunge routering on the back?
This is cool!
Thanks!
When you see your own name routed in a wooden sign in a CZcams video 😮😮😮
Wooow .i am srilanka
👍👍👍
Just curious, did you glue the center's of the "e's" back in after routing? I noticed they were gone, then were back in later. Nice project...
Can you do this on acrylic handheld? or you need an actual machine that does the moving and stuff for the router?
I'm located in Canada too. Would love to buy this from you.
Just found your channel and loving it! Question about your filming- how do you get that slow zoom in effect of the scene while you work? Is someone else filming? Do you have a video with your techniques or reccomend any channels to check out?
Amazing . What led are u using
Cool Sign!!
What router bit did you use for the front and back?
Nice work.. keep going!
Donde se consigue esas tiras led, lista para encender.
I just bought some red wire. Thank you for this idea. Do you take orders?
What kind of paint was used inside the letters?
@DrewBuildsStuff Do you think a hobbyist Dremel carving tool would be able to do the same job?
Hello! Thanks for creating this content! May I know the machines utilized?
Looks like a fixed and plunged corded router.
I'm thinking about doing this after watching this vid, what tool is it that you use to engrave the name and carve out the back?
hello, a question, what kind of wire do you use to connect the led strips? I guess it's copper, but what thickness?
It's one long piece of el wire
What’s the wire you used in this project?
I'd love to make something similar, but the recipient is sensitive to noise and the Amazon listing for that string light says it can be a bit noisy. Could you tell me if that's true?
The box might make a whining noise as it has to generate 100 or so volt AC to power the EL wire, but you wouldn't be up really close to it, it's inside the case which should hide it, and you could always wrap the controller with material to muffle it further. So I doubt you'd hear it at all. More likely to be an issue when used as part of clothing, a hat etc.
what is the size of art board (ai/ps)
Wondering what type of router exactly you are using here…my husband needs to purchase
Its a milwaukee 2723, though a palm router of any brand (especially if he already has tools in a certain brand) will do the trick
👏👏👏👏💯💯🇧🇷🇧🇷
What font is that?
Which software you are using to create font print?
Hey Drew, can you post links to materials you used?
Will update the video description in the next 10 minutes
@@DrewBuildsStuff Thanks!
What is the kind of tool this is?
I don’t think it matters too much, but I was just curious what router you’re using?
Already see you answered this! I for one think it’s really super cool you didn’t use a CNC and this whole process you did for SO CHEAP.
Oh, now I see you’re actually using TWO different ones… if you put the Amazon link up here I’ll buy via your link and you’ll get kickback 😊
Chair Fort.
Tu es très bon
What's the name of the font please ?
Nice music name please
Font name???
I cant remember specifically but it would have came from the first few pages here: www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=603
What program did you use for the name & font?
Its in photoshop and i cant remember the exact font name but it will be in the first few pages here: www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=603
How thick is this EL wire ? 5m?
This one was 5m long but it will depend on how many characters/size. You can use a string first to trace out the patch of the letters, then pull the string straight and measure it and that should give you a rough idea of how much length you need
Mrs. Herrfort: Why can't you be a REAL man like Drew?? Look what he did in an hour. Turn off the Xbox and fix the damn dishwasher!
thats not a neon sign ..neon is glass with gas inside ..takes skill to bend glass
thats just cheap EL wire
would be better with solar panel and daylight sensor so it’s always on at night and can still be on if you want it to be during the day
Foakree. Farn…
