    I kept saying omg everytime you use the big router with that big bit. It puts a smile on my face. You have inspired me to forget about my debt I racked up in home depot and just make things using the tools I bought.

    These are great. I used them for my gravestones for Halloween. The neon graveyard. Making an address number sign for deliveries with the one extra left over. And then i see this. Gives me a better idea on how to make it now. Thanks..

    Instead of using a brush to fill in the groove, you can use a plastic cylinder butter, which is very effective and does not stick to the outside.

    I'd love to make something similar, but the recipient is sensitive to noise and the Amazon listing for that string light says it can be a bit noisy. Could you tell me if that's true?

    • @makers_lab
      @makers_lab Před rokem +1

      The box might make a whining noise as it has to generate 100 or so volt AC to power the EL wire, but you wouldn't be up really close to it, it's inside the case which should hide it, and you could always wrap the controller with material to muffle it further. So I doubt you'd hear it at all. More likely to be an issue when used as part of clothing, a hat etc.

    • @DrewBuildsStuff
      @DrewBuildsStuff  Před 2 lety +3

      This one was 5m long but it will depend on how many characters/size. You can use a string first to trace out the patch of the letters, then pull the string straight and measure it and that should give you a rough idea of how much length you need
