A mist instead of a pffst!😂 I adore this woman!
Oh Marie, what a gorgeous formulation.
Thank you so much! ❤️
I ordered the bottle from newdirectionaromatics .
Love all your packaging idea 💡
I have been order since 2013 from them but never ever care about packaging products until I watched and read your blogs a few months ago. I started went all different even I order from Canada 🇨🇦 love some reasonable price and qualities :) thank you for sharing and inspiring!
Wow ! Looks like this versatile beauty product can combat dryness & revitalize a dull tired skin...super excited to make & try it !
Thankyou Marie for this innovative product with lovely ingredients 🤩👍
You are so welcome! ❤️
I have been experimenting with oil, this is def a big help... thank you so much for sharing ❤❤❤❤❤😘😘
Glad it was helpful!
I bet it must super on your skin. Love the formulation
Thanks for watching! ❤️
Absolutely awesome! I'm going to try this for myself very soon! Would get the Crafters Choice LuxGlide N5 which is a natural cyclomethicone alternative to make it and see how it works out. Thanks for sharing!
I also wanted to find an alternative to cyclomethicone can anyone recommend ? I saw a fe options like broccoli and grape seed oil
Ahhhh! I'm so excited about this! I had a delicious red apple pomegranate dry oil spray from Sephora that I was just lamenting yesterday had run out!!
Hooray! I hope you love your DIY'ed version :) You could use pomegranate oil instead of passionfruit oil if you wanted to ❤️
@@HumblebeeAndMe Alas, that is not a fragranced oil I have in my collection. :( I don't even have a good substitute for the cyclomethicone. I see the ingredients list on my dry oil spray has isododecane. Between cyclomethicone and isododecane, which would you recommend I buy for versatility?
Just lovely
I know what i'll be working on this weekend!! awesome as always!! Where can I purchase the bottles from?
Hi Maria, thanks for Another GREAT VIDEO, can I use mango oil in place of the jojoba oil or perhaps rose hip oil which is one my favs
Really appreciate you for what you're doing 😊😊
I have a question though, I'm thinking of using this formula to create a night oil to apply after showering. What's the best oils to use at night? I'm thinking along the lines of skin brightening and an anti-inflammatory.
Really nice.. n very convenient 😍👌
Thanks for watching!
Good idea.. thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Hi there! Please do a fenty beauty kinda lip gloss and lip oil. Much love
I'll keep it in mind-thanks for the suggestion!
Excellent!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
👍👍👍👍👍👍beautiful 💓💓💓 i love it so much😄😄😄😄
Thank you so much 😀
Love your videos
Thank you so much!
You look so pretty 💗💗💗
Can you use this like the smash box primer oil, to be used before makeup?
Hi. I'm going to buy your book "Make it up" and am quite excited.. I haven't yet made anything yet but want to learn a bit more before I start. I can't seem to sign up for your free Diy skincare for beginner course. I've tried twice but no e-mail came through.. Anyhoo thanks for your videos they're all really educational.. 😁👍
Hooray! Re: the course, please check out this FAQ: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/ive-tried-signing-up-for-your-diy-skin-care-for-beginners-course-and-it-isnt-working/. Happy making!
Hi marie, can i use isododecane instead of isopropyl myristate? (The only one i don't have in stock 😂)
hey marie ! good day to you ! i just had a question regarding vanilla essential oil and cocoa absolute .
could you please tell me whether they are generally vegan and cruelty free ? or does the cruelty free part differs from suppliers to suppliers ?
thanks again ! Love all the hard work you put into your awesome vids 💙💛🧡💜
I can help you with that. Yes they are vegan and cruelty free....unless you're worried about the plants being hurt in the process...just kidding.
Interested in this recipe! Coconut oil clogs pores though, so I will substitute
Hi! 3 things :)
1) Medium Chain Triglycerides/fractionated coconut oil is not coconut oil; it's Caprylic + Capric Triglycerides isolated from coconut oil.
2) If you substitute, it might not mist as fractionated coconut oil/MCT is quite unique amongst oils for how thin it is.
3) The idea of "comedogenic" or not really is nowhere near as simple as religiously avoiding every ingredient that gets a "bad" rating on a comeodogenicity rating chart. Comedogenic ratings really aren't all that helpful when determining if a product (rather than a pure ingredient) will clog human pores, so formulating something that is "non comedogenic" is not as simple as just avoiding a set list of ingredients on a chart.
I recently tried a commercial moisturizer from a well-known that was advertised as non comedogenic and it broke me out horribly, so even when something is supposed to be non comedogenic, there are zero guarantees.
Lab Muffin made a great video about it titled "Why Comedogenicity Ratings Are Kinda BS " ( czcams.com/video/-wz__FPq5kE/video.html ). The title really says it all, but the general gist is: your skin isn't made of rabbit ears + the overall formulation really matters.
Such a helpful video! If I wanted to make a version of this for use only on hair, would it be necessary to use IPM and cyclomethicone? Could I instead replace those with more fractionated coconut oil?
That's a huge "it depends" based on what your hair likes. I recommend checking out my Featherweight Hair Oil to learn more :) Happy making!
Can you put glitter or shimmer in it ?
I love your videos, but are those additional ingredients toxic or natural???
Is it safe to mist on hair
Thanks you for the videos, the oil will be amazing and I will make it for me and my friends!!!!!!! But can I use Argan Oil instead of Jojoba Oil?
You'll find the answer to your question in the "Substitutions" section of the partner blog post. It's linked in the description box below the video ;) If you're not sure what that means, read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/.

@@HumblebeeAndMe thanks you!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Marie, happy new year! Any ingredient besides TKB thickening clay that will allow us to add a mica (a nice, pale shimmer) to this formulation and other oil formulations to keep it in suspension? Haven’t wanted to cough up the duties and shipping for TKB thickening clay and liquid lip colours yet but I may cave... 💄
Hey! I know it's not quite what you asked, but you should read this FAQ: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/can-i-add-mica-to-a-mist/.
And no, I haven't found anything that works as thickening clay does... but also, even it doesn't work perfectly. I've written more in the encyclopedia entry @ www.humblebeeandme.com/project/quaternium-90-sepiolite-and-quaternium-90-montmorillonite-thickening-clay/.
Happy making!
@@HumblebeeAndMe thank you so much, I’ll check out the links! 🐝
I have a Question... If I wanted to make perfume would you use denatured alcohol or non denatured alcohol or do it this way you showed@humblebee
If you search "perfume" on the blog (www.humblebeeandme.com/search) you'll see I've used perfumery alcohol :)
We missed you merry. Can i ask you please i was trying for weeks a commercial powder mask of clay and charcoal and vitamine C but each time was a failure.also as i did read clays hard to preserve and same thing to vitamine C not stable any idea how to make commercial face mask?
The trick to keeping clay masks from going bad is to mix all of your dry ingredients together, scoop out about a teaspoon of the dry mix and put in a separate, small dish. Add just enough liquid to the small dish to make a thin paste. Keep the rest in a dry, airtight container and use only the amount needed for one mask at a time.
Hi Marie is this way better than using the perfume alcohol? What's the difference
The difference is absolutely massive-like the difference between vodka and butter :)
Do you mind sharing what type of scale you use for these small amounts? Thank you!
Please look up "precision scale" in the Humblebee & Me DIY Encyclopedia (www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia/) :)
Thank you!
Can I use caprylic/capric triglyceride instead of fractionated coconut oil?
Yes you can! This is also answered in the Humblebee & Me DIY Encyclopedia entry for fractionated coconut oil :) Happy making!
Can this be used in your hair - a spritz or two?
Sure!
If don't have isopropyl myristate then what to use? Any other option?
You'll find the answer to your question in the blog post that's linked in the description box below the video ;) If you're not sure what that means, read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/.

Can I use this large percentage Cyclomethicone on a face product, if I have acne-prone skin?
Hi jenn, i read that cyclomethicone recommended percentage is 1-10% only.. maybe you can add different type of solvent to make up to the percentage you need instead? Correct me if im wrong cuz I'm just learning about these Ingredients just this few days 😁
@@keenyaacob thank you 🙂 but I'm worried about if it'll cause breakouts.
Oh i see.. maybe you can try olive squalane or hemisqualane.. both of these are amazing light texture too.. make a small batch of your formula & patch testing 😁👍🏼
Hi Jenn! For starters, this particular formulation is not for the face-I always include something like "facial" or "face" in the name if it is :)
The CIR does not list a maximum usage level for cyclomethicone, and it is commonly used well above the 10% level that Keen mentioned-many hair oils on the market, for instance, are 80-95% cyclomethicone. That's because hair is typically less tolerant of oils than skin, though. There'd really be no need to structure a facial skincare formulation that way. When it comes to things you put on your face, you typically only see cycomethicone in high concentrations in products like foundation (20-50%).
As for acne-prone: I don't have any specific concerns about specific concentrations of cyclomethicone for acne-prone skin. It's very volatile, meaning it doesn't stay on the skin very long to cause trouble. I'd recommend this post + video from Lab Muffin to learn more about why it is impossible to predict if a formulation will clog pores just from reading the ingredient list: labmuffin.com/fact-check-how-to-use-comedogenicity-ratings/.
Hi Marie! Question for ya. Is this oil just for your body and not for your face? If I remember correctly coconut is pretty comedogenic
Hi kiera, coconut oil is quite comedogenic, but fractionated coconut oil is not so much, it's has been processed and the texture is very thin 👍🏼
@@keenyaacob oh ok nice! Thank you for the insight!
@@kierae.5170 You're welcome 😉 you might want to try olive squalane though, it's sooo awesome, texture is very thin too 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
It's for the body-I always say face if it's for face :) You can also read the blog post, where it's referred to as a "body oil".
That said, Keen is right that fractionated coconut oil is not coconut oil. AND, just because something is comedogenic doesn't really mean all that much, either. Lab Muffin has a great post + video on that here: labmuffin.com/fact-check-how-to-use-comedogenicity-ratings/. Happy making!
@@HumblebeeAndMe thank you so much! I'll definitely check it out
What scale do you use?
Never mind, I see someone else already asked. Thanks!
Can you use micas for color
Hey! You'll find the answer to your question in my FAQ on my website at www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/can-i-add-mica-to-a-mist/ 🙂 Happy making!
Thank You so much,I didn't know you responded 🥰🥰🥰
Hi Marie can I don't use cyclomethicone and what's passion fruit oil
Thx
Can you recommend natural alternatives to cyclocinicide etc
This oil don't need preservative?
Hi abi, from the formula i read, if there is no water, there's no need to include preservative, but recommend to add vitamin E for delaying it's rancid smell (oxidation)
