    I saw the Las Vegas Golden Knights go from their entry entry draft to lifting the cup. One thing this man is great at is recruiting the right people. The stanley cup is the hardest trophy in the US to win across all team sports. This guy did it within the teams first 6 years and even went to the final the first year. As a Liverpool supporter I can admit I believe good things are ahead for Bournemouths.

      I think a lot people involved with the club see Brighton as the blueprint (probably rest of the league as well tbf). You guys are turning water into wine over there! With any luck the cherries can come close to that with the investment and new infrastructure they're putting in place ⬆🍒

We are incredibly lucky to have Tony Bloom as our owner, other fans (top six plastics) don't understand why we regard stability and running the our club without risking it's future more important then trophies.     Bournemouth fan here. The first cherries game I watched at Dean Court was against Peterborough in 2004 and we lost 1-0. Everything that has happened since then has been the most incredible journey from League 2 all the way to the Premiership. Shout out to Brett Pitman, saw him score a 16-minute hat-trick against Peterborough in 2010!

      Infrastructure spend so stadium, training facilities, women’s & youth teams & community programmes are all excluded from FFP/PSR.

    It’s such exciting times being an AFCB supporter, Bill Foley is an excellent owner and delivers what he says! We also have Andoni Iraola as manager, he is also excellent, very smart and articulate and makes substitutions at the right times not 2 minutes before the end of a game….Shame to lose Richard Hughes though…..

      If you struggle to regularly fill a 12k stadium in the top flight, you definitely don't need one that's twice the size, unless more supporters can magically be found somewhere.

      @@raymondsawyer8626 the problem with Dorset as a whole is it seems to consist mainly of people in the last years of life. I go to Christchurch and Bournemouth sometimes and the age demographic is immediately noticeable just from driving through there. I hear it a lot and know people who've said 'well we're selling up and moving to Dorset to retire'. They're not really the sort of people who will want to be out on a cold wet evening watching football. The challenge will be finding enough of the the younger generations.

      @@Tony_codes They did nothing of the sort. They threw a few million quid at the old Benton Road training ground, which is still a completely unfit facility for a club with aspirations of being a top club. They need to build a purpose built training complex ASAP.

    I say this with no glee. But he has to have a plan for Bournemouth to be spending more time in the Championship than the premier. They will have their moments in the PL like a lot of clubs. If you unearth great players or a coaching staff the vultures will come. And nothing a great town, great area, great stadium, great owner or facilities can do about it. But there is no reason why championship clubs can’t have state of the art facilities. The players deserve it and the fans. This is how it should be and fair play to Bournemouth FC and this chap.

      He has no intention of going backwards but whatever happens in the future the infrastructure will be in place to maintain a higher level than most of the clubs existence. For reference it's AFC Bournemouth. Bournemouth FC is a club in its own right.

    Difference between him and Boehly and Eghbali is that they have more money this guy has brain. One clearly says they are here to learn be part of the community and not the arrogant American not wanting to change everything and the other one from the beginning tried to be a dick, disrespecting every existing thing that was the reason for Chelsea's success while having no brain.     Admire this but if he had big ambitions he really should’ve bought a bigger club. Bournemouth have a small stadium, fanbase in general, limited infrastructure. Much bigger clubs in the championship he could’ve bought and threw a few quid at that would have more chance of PL sustainability.

    As a Canadian who’s a Manchester United supporter I can tel you American owners are trash (Glazers) BUT I can tell you that if you wanted ONE guy it’s Foley…
    He’s all about the “built it up to last” type guy. He’s won a Stanley Cup with Vegas Golden Knights and has built an great “academy” team in the Henderson Silver Knights.
    Bill Foley went to West Point (a U.S. Army Military academy) so he knows how to built something with structure and toughness… as a United fan I wish he would have bought United.

    The big problem for US owners who own a major league sports franchise like The Golden Knights is that if they fail in the NHL the sit at the bottom of the league and usually get the first round picks in the following years draft which gives them a boost the following season and that repeats over and over. Whereas we all know finish bottom everywhere else - you get relegated and have to start at the bottom again...Good luck Cherries
