Michelin si the biggest scam in the industry
Why I keep doing this to myself everytime, when I haven't ate yet! All of you probably know what I'am talkin about 😂
It's 3am and now I want this 😅
I watch videos like this when I’m hungover …… I really don’t know why either 😂
I agree 🤤
YES ... I wanted to eat the spoonful through the fucking phone
I went here 2 weeks back. The roast pork is incredible, hands down the best I ever had in my life.
The locals there told me not to bother with the char siew or the roast chicken and stick to the roast pork.
Some tips for anyone new going there
1) get there at around 11am and line up. You first need to go to the lady at the counter and grab a number, before you wait in line for your order to be taken. Don't skip this step.
2) order the roast pork, but get the option with 2 strips of pork. 1 is not enough. It's considered expensive for Malaysian standards, but it is what it is, you won't find better. 70MYR for 2 strips and rice.
3) get a seat and they will bring the food out to you. Much easier if you are going with small numbers.
4) nearest MRT station is Pavillion, it's about a 10 min walk from there.
Big game changer is the rice cooked in the fat of the pork drippings, it's just incredible.
Looks incredibly bland though
@@magiclegume it really, really isn't. There is a reason he is packed and only opens 3 hours a day. I also thought it would be "dry", until I tasted the rice. It's a legit 10/10 meal.
@@magiclegumepork belly really doesn’t need anything besides salt. The fat and smoking has incredibly huge flavors, and it’s served with a sweet sauce. There’s a reason bacon is so flavorful.
@@magiclegume U really don't know what pork belly is, respectfully lol
is it halal
Cantonese style, my favorite!! I wish there’s such a restaurant near where I live I can go there everyday
This is my go to place whenever I went to KL. Even 15 years ago they are already very crowded and super delicious
The char strips look amazing 🤤
13:55 Still way more cleaner than Indian street food.
LIAR
Both are disgusting 😎
I could watch this cooking process all day long. 14:59 OMG I'm dying to eat this. This could be a reason to travel to Malaysia. 17:42 This should be the first picture of your video, showing your Michelin plaque.
They don't have a Michelin Star, they just appear in the Michelin Guide. Still an amazing achievement, but not the same thing. To put in in perspective, around 150 restaurants in Malaysia appear in the Michelin Guide, but only 4 of them have at least 1 Michelin Star.
liar, you don't have to lie to make friends. nobody would watch this all day.
Michelin has 4 ratings: the 1,2, and 3 stars, and the honorable mention.
@@skepptix I'm making friends with food, fool. You just haven't eaten nor appreciate these tasty delicacies, and, yes, it's important to know how to cook them right.
that was torture seeing that delicious food and cant eat it. looks so succulent and tasty. 😢😢
They take more time preparing than actually being open.
For now, this place is open for 3hrs only. One day its going to be "open whenever i feel like opening"....
😅
How tho? 😂
It's only open for three hours because that's all the meat they have. Those people work incredibly hard and here you imply that they are lazy. Shame on you.
@@SeraphsRose yep... I'm not shaming anybody... But what we may see on the outside of all things may not always be anything like we'd imagine it or ever want to have to go through ourselves in life or even just to have gone through any experience of it even. These people come in super early to just have everything prepared to cook for us all.... And by the time things get open, the ones that stick around to do everything else on top of that for the next 3hrs must go through some forms of emotional damages in ways we cannot fathom for each one of them inside that may hate that entire job itself even though it may look cool or fun to some of us viewing it for the first several times in amazement of the whole process.... These people are doing it like all day everyday! If you're a man or woman in this world thats ever gotten tired of sex or something like even dating.... Then imagine how tired most of these people are doing that work!?????... There comes a point where its just a job to them and they're probably rather be doing something or anything else to make $$$ if they could, but they can't, and so they're just suffering there for that $$$$$$$ just as most any of us likely are but most manage to settle or just accepted this is all we've got or can do in our lives...very few are trying to break free because the work or even just the mental emotional States to want to be motivated or not so depressed inside just having to think of any of these things is so much easier.... And we is here judging these skilled bastards! Most of us should be ashamed of ourselves for judging so much lesser upon ourselves than others we see but don't really understand past oh it looks easy! Oh! Shes hot! I'd smash! Then you end up on child support alimony and most likely divorced on the streets because that trashy woman was for the streets the whole time with a past dating more far back than all the 304s raising hell in the gardens of Eden to have destroyed the first man by poisoning him into all the destructions that this world faces up until this very day!...... ... I'm pretty stoned and lost where I was going with all this.... 😒 But I think my overall points here are that we should just judge more on what we tasted in the foods and less on what we think food tastes like or something 🤔... Yeah... I'm too lazy to go back and read whatever I might have typed already 😓
@@SeraphsRose that's your perspective. My perspective is that their status as a restaurant gives them the authority to operate whenever they feel like, like some star restaurants in America
WOW it looks delicious great cooking skills 🙌
I thought he had lost part of his finger, but it was actually curled away.

This is all looking sooo good. I want to go to Malaysia one day 🥓🥩🍗🍖🍳
Personally, I don't like eating food that has been roasted in rusty, dirty barrels
@@Kellykiller-mj2bn no one asked tbh
apparently you have not understood the concept of comments ¯\_(ツ)_/¯@@Leblabiteur
@@Kellykiller-mj2bnBrah, that's literally every bbq ever. When the temperature gets super hot, it kills everything.
My go-to when I'm in KL. The pork belly is outstanding, so is the rice. The charsui for me is not worth eating, you can get better many other places. But that place is popular for a reason, it really is THAT good.
Old school cooking simply beautiful great work
L❤ve this . Look sooo yummy.
Hello Malaysia. Greetings from Thailand 🇹🇭
One of the best meals I had in my life! The rice and pork belly are outstanding…
stairway to heaven😂
8:14 pandan leaves over steamed rice is one of the most fragrant smell. ❤❤
awesome video, food looks fantastic!
Your channel guarantees mouth watering!😁
Fantastic camera work on the close-ups, esp inside the roasting barrel.
Great footage mate ....wow...mega ...thanks
Industrious hard working people. Deserve every success!!
Im muslim and even i want to taste this food!!
🤣😅🫢
There's halal version of it bro, as long as it grass fed.
The prohibition against pork was common sense 2000 years ago but just doesn't make sense anymore with what we now know.
😂😂
What comes out of you is unclean....not what goes inside of you brother.
If I remember correctly a few years ago, the Father announced he’s going to retire for a bit due to health issues. then again I do remember he also taught his son everything

I had to stop video to go put on my drool bib. I Kept involuntarily drooling on my cell phone screen. Made things hard to see for a minute😜😝🤣 Absolutely wonderful video and delight for the eyes!
The food looks amazing.
I've never wanted to eat something more in my entire life
Don't fear a man who practised 1000 techniques 1 time. Fear a man who practised 1 technique 1000 times...
Those "simple" dishes look amazing and those are reasons to visit different countries and get to know the food and culture.
So yummy & reasonable pricing. I will surely comeback again whenever I visit KL. Chilli source is so appetising. Datuk Wong the Boss generously reviewed to us the recipe 👍👍
That looks so good.
Looks life changing, can’t wait to try
What's their phone # I want to order some; I live in Texas!
@@bobboscarato1313 you have to go to Malaysia to try!
@@tl275 Too far away and don't have the money!
@@bobboscarato1313 ahh thats a bummer.. maybe you could try going to the nearest chinatown area in Houston since (according to google) has a vibrant chinese community there.
Unlike Mark Wiens, you let the food do all the talking.

Exactly it’s about the food
All of this kind of jobs, businesses workers, owners, their money are all hard earned! I personally always respect them and appreciate the food.
Incredible work...thank you for sharing
The sound of the pork sizzling in the cookers is so soothing
Oh my goodness that rice and pandan leaves. I can smell it and taste it. yum
Everything on the table looked soooooo good
Everything looks SO DELICIOUS!! I really wish I could taste it for myself!
They really nice to give Yummie access to record and see what goes on behind the scene.
I miss Malaysian street food. My favorite food around the world 👍
yup with the hands and even rings all over the food i can only imagine why....
Such a beautiful way to cook tge pork ❤,and giving it a great smoky taste ❤❤❤
I like the close-ups at the end! Perfect film making!
It's beautyful!❤ Everything looks so delicious! ❤❤❤
Happily enjoying my chicken rice for breakfast while watching this.
Nearly choked and died when I saw RM128 for the price.
Backed to basic… so simple to maintain which turn out taste good ❤
Amazing! What an organized machine.
A lot of work put into it, respect.
Lots of closed minded comments on this board which seem to come from people who have never stepped a foot out of their own country. I thank you for staying at home and not wrecking it for those of us who know what it's really like. Enjoy that Burger and chips for dinner.
I’ve seen propper places in Thailand!
Don't pretend you've ever left your country without your mummy and daddy paying for it.
Oh we've stepped out of our home countries, some of us hundreds of times. We just don't fawn over dirty street food cooked by illiterate workers so we can appear woke and 'travelled' in the comments.
It's not closed minded to say eww dirty street food when it is in fact dirty street food. Try hygiene?
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 tamo junto gostei top demais 😃
Looks delicious, I want to try that! )
Thank you for showing us exactly how to eat it.
All looks so delicious.. I wish I had something like this near me in West London UK..
Try your local china town. I am pretty sure London UK has a pretty nice China town, avoid the main street and restaurants, look for the take out places. Normally Chinatown takeout shops are lined up, and they often have stuff like this, where the shop will have stuff hanging.
In SF chinatown and NY chinatown, its like this. You can find this stuff pretty easy. It probably isn't at this level, but it's roughly the same.
@@yummychips_ Thanks for the advice I will definitely check that out in London and add a review on my new food channel on CZcams called Real Munchies..
Happy New Year to you! 😊
mate, we have one of the biggest chinatown in the world
Bro, there's few great Chinese restaurants in Bayswater, West London. I go there quite a bit. New Fortune Cookie is best for price and the food is top notch, great friendly staff also. If you like Dim Sum, Gold Mine is the only place there that does it but it's so damn delicious. Their main menu is top notch as well, a little bit pricier than New Fortune Cookie. And the best of the bunch is Four Seasons, yes it is more expensive but not crazy though. Defo affordable dishes but they have an established chain (there's also one in Chinatown) so their food is probably the best of the 3 I mentioned. Just check all 3 and see how you get on. New Fortune Cookie is my regular, I go Gold Mine for their Dim Sum and do Four Seasons if I fancy a treat night/day.
That food just makes my mouth water mmm 👍 good
looks amazing
This art of cooking is immaculate and beautiful. Truly a majestic sight to witness....
These cooking techniques are almost ancient. Ovens like this have been used in Asia for centuries. I believe this is similar to how the highly popular Chinese dish, Peking duck, is made too. I hope one day I get to do a food tour of the world, I will certainly be trying this!.
Gambateh!
Delicious food😊😊
Wonderful, fascinating, enchanting, educational and utterly mouth watering!
Dah try sebab bulan ni rmai tmpat xbuka tempat memang bersih dan sedap surrr….🤤
Sabroso.
Everything looks delicious 😋 .
Greatings from Ecuador 🇪🇨
Looks amazing. But chicken price conversion is just a wee bit wrong 😅
I wish i could go here one day. It looks amazing!
As far as I'm concerned there no difference here between, say, a renowned pianist and this wonderful Pork Belly Master - they're both incredibly well practised in what they do. Except, since there is no cause more noble than to feed hungry mouths, I know which I'd take any day !
Oh my, such poetic comment 😍 ❤️
wow that looks good ! :o
That all looks incredibly good …. I would not be putting that sauce on it …I am sure it all stands on its own
Thanks so much for sharing!!!
This looks amazing and I'm struck by how clean it all looks, not a fly in sight.
I would love to eat this any day!!! Thank you for making me hungry and salivate like a dog.
😅same here !!
Pork belly a delicious fatty cut of meat, sadly in the west fat has been demonised and everyone eats low fat foods, trouble is, they are now morbidly obese from doing so. Looking at the customers in that restaurant I see not one fat person.
No talk, no BS just quality artistry
I'm starving! Nice presentation, start to finish!
Classic tradition. Always delicious!
Those chef knives would take your finger clean off.
this looks so delicious holy moly
I'm getting the meat sweats just watching this, this look out of this world man!
I gasped when you put the sauce on. Stuff looks spicy!
Poor princess, you gasped......
I've never felted the need to go to Malaysia..Until now.
You wont regret it. Kl is the best, greetings from germany

Wow a lot of customers. If I have chance to visit Malaysia I will go to try it.
Be sure to do that!
I was their in November and this Barbeque Pork was amazing the best in Penang.
This is in KL..

Looks sooooooooooo good 😋
That roast pork looks amazing.
Wow so much work goes into the cooking no wonder they are only open for 3 hours.👍👍👍👍
Must eat there one day!
This looks amazing
Amazing
the char siew looks so juicy, and the siew york is 5 layers!
You really are a foodie 😄 🤣
Mmmh I can feel their hands' aroma by watching it 🤤
Extra spicy when they go to the bathroom because they don’t use toilet paper
I would never eat any food if touched with hands
@@rowlandpaes9213 You've never been to a restaurant then huh?
Yes i have ; and they always wear gloves when they cook😎@@xipalips
@@rowlandpaes9213 It's known that gloves are worse for food safety, because gloves give a false sense of security and cleanliness, despite getting just as contaminated as hands. But gloves get changed less often than hands get washed.
@@rowlandpaes9213 I would advise you to never look into any kitchen you actually eat at if you truly believe that lmao.
Guy working with hot charcoal and pork bellies in sandals, mad props.
I’m would absolutely love to try all that glorious looking pork my 100% idea of food heaven ( unfortunately I can’t because I live in the uk ) and absolutely adore the hard work and setting that the food is prepared. No fuss no bullshit !!!!
