Best Vegan Pizza with Quick and Easy Focaccia Crust - Detroit Style - Joyride Inspired

- I’m still out here, traveling around, trying to find the best food that I can reverse engineer and share with you. This recipe for Incredible Vegan Detroit Style Pizza is inspired by a restaurant I tried in San Francisco called Joyride Pizza. They specialize in focaccia crust, Detroit-style pizza, and it’s to die for!
I’ve come up with a really quick and easy focaccia dough that just takes about 2 hours to go from raw ingredients to a bubbly dough that’s ready to be buried by your favorite pizza toppings.

Honestly, it's so so good. And the dough is truly effortless. I indented on showing that part but I had some technical difficulties... It's nothing more than mixing the ingredients. Waiting an hour. Putting it in a pan. Waiting another hour. Done.
Well folks the man we know and love is back. Chef Michael yes I used the word chef with praise and respect 👏👏this video and recipe is freaking awesome👍👍but i will be making this in the near future don't know if it'll be vegan i'm all for the meat substitute but I have not found a vegan cheese that I can eat. Maybe I'll try this brand that you just showed on camera. OMG, I made this yesterday and it was so freakin' delicious! Looked just like the one Monson made 😊. The crust came out so good, very soft and fluffy. One of the best vegan pizza's I've ever had. Thank you so much for posting this recipe. I used an 8" cake pan since I didn't have a 9" one. Came out fine.

Wow that's a good looking pizza! I normally go for a thin crust but I've been wanting to try Detroit style without having to invest in a special pan for it. Gonna have to try this recipe 😋
I'm 100% a thin crust person, too. The thinner the better. But this one just hit for some reason. I think it's the focaccia, honestly. It brings a lot to the party.

I have always been a thin-crust pizza person but wow, this one looks so good I am sure I would enjoy it a lot. You've also made me realise that although I love a simple focaccia, I always chose a thin crust for my pizza - which totally showcases how strongly our upbringing conditions us to chose certain things over others :D

Am totally drooling! A Philly spot, Pizza Jawn, in the Manayunk section of the city, does an outrageous Detroit-style pizza and also have "hot honey" as an option! Definitely going to try to make this!!!

I got excited when you said they were from the NW. I was thinking I might be able to find them in Portland or Seattle but nope. They only have 2 locations both in SF. Next time go there, tell them to expand up north.

Yummo! I loves me some beyond spicy sausage! That pizza looks amazing! We make an incredible Pho with the spicy sausage and we grill up some bok choy, mushrooms and broccoli....then top the soup with some sausage and cilantro! You must try! I think so. Just watch and make sure that it's really sealed, or reinforced with foil on the outside edge... You don't wan't an olive oil leak.

I'm sorry to hear that. In the states, we seem to get a new brand every day... But Violife is the best. Follow Your Heart (Earth Island) is also up there. Not a fan of Daiya.... They'll get there.
