- For this vlog, Sean and I share with you guys our favorite underrated New Balance sneakers of 2019. We're kinda happy that they're not getting insane hype because we get to buy them for retail (or sometimes under retail).
New Balance sneakers, especially the heritage models, are made unbelievably well and the designs are also timeless. If you don't want to ride the Jordan and Yeezy hype train, this is another route to consider taking with your collection.

I bought my first pair of NB 991 in 2001 in college. I replaced them with the new version every 3-4 years ever since then.

In over 50 years of running, jogging & walking I've concluded that New Balance are the best sports shoes on the planet, especially with their width fittings & believe me I have tried every major brand.
That first shoe which is the top pick of Carlo.. I have that and just worn it earlier at SM dasma.. awesome shoe overall. 👌

I bought a 574 (camo pack) from an online seller and from my first look and actual feel up close of the shoe, I was convinced that it was 100% authentic, original, Made in USA 574. Lo and behold, just after 2 days of trying it on and walking around the house wearing it, the midsole foam started to crumble like a stale, month old cake! Fortunately, after 2 visits to Mr. Quickie, I was able to eventually save the shoe. Did I unfortunately buy a fake 574 or was I just unlucky enough to buy an old stock?

I bought the 574 sport v.2s and within 3 months the plastic lace-holes nearest the ankle had been worn right through by the laces. I wore them perhaps 35 times in that period, and never for any exercise beyond walking the dog.
Unlike most trainers, that plastic part is not backed by the material of the upper shoe, and the plastic is too soft for this purpose. I am now either going to have to glue metal washers behind the holes to strengthen them, or drive 70 km to the retailer and hope for a return under warranty (not guaranteed in my country with its poor customer service).
They are very light, comfortable and breathable, but this design flaw is a serious fault. It may explain why they are on sale everywhere all the time.
Back in d '80's America. Sometimes they called running as "sneakers of d nerds".
