That trauma will haunt me after that until l sought out healing and got educated the best of my ability. I now have a deep connection to others who have went through similar traumas and offer my wisdom for healing. God bless you sister.

Unfortunately we all have to go through horrific things in our life in order to grow and gain strength and wisdom so we have the courage to stand up and be the voice for those who can't. You might have felt alone at first but trust that the Lord was with you, as a silent witness and so much more then just that. But I know most offten we get lost within our traumatic event that's happened to us and it takes a while to realize that, if ever. All that being said I pray that you've learned something from it. Whatever that maybe just know it's made you stronger and be great full that you are still alive. Much love to you and your family. God bless!

Sexual abuse and rape violates the body and psyche of the victim. Addressing this type of assault is long past for the Navajo Nation. It is a good thing this young lady is able to talk about her experience. Most times girls don't want to talk about an abuse or rape. If not addressed, the act of being victim of rape might pass onto the next victim, the daughter or son; so it's something that a family should confront through counseling and prayer.

Every person on the reservation knows that Native Americans have an extremely low tolerance for alcohol! They are also aware of the extremely high incidence of rape, as a result of alcohol use by both parties, yet this adult female makes a conscious decision not only to attend a party where alcohol is present, but to partake of large quantities of it herself. By the way, was there no lock on the door.

See the bad thing about this is if she doest remember then how does anyone know if the two people who were having sex were both drunk. Or if they both started to mess around when they were drunk. Then its automatically the guys fault. If they were both drunk and started messing around then why does the guy get blamed. She shouldn't have gotten drunk if she couldn't drink ti where she knows what shes doing.

    1. Maybe drinking on a reservation where it is ILLEGAL is a bad idea?
    2. Maybe underage drinking is a bad idea?
    3. Maybe buying alcoholic drinks for your underage sister was a bad idea.
    4. Crying rape doesn’t make up for cheating on your boyfriend...just makes you a shitty person.
    5. She’s acting like she didn’t know the “assailant” when it was her and Demetri who invited him to the “celebration.”
    6. She’s not telling the truth nor is she giving all the facts.
    7. Why aren’t the parents of the 2 children being charged for child endangerment?
    8. Why isn’t the older sister being charged for providing alcohol for a minor, on Navajo land?
    9. It’s not too late to tell the truth.
    10. Must be hard to keep ignoring that guilt...it’s only human.
