This is a great drone. For those who've never flown, try to learn to fly in normal mode first. Take it up to six feet or so, then slowly learn the controls, left, right, up, down, while you are at this lower height. Do this over grass or some other more forgiving landing area. Practice so that you can eventually go higher, go easily sideways, move the gimbal, all in smooth motions. It will be well worth it.

I made mine go 120m high the moment it came on, lol, its pretty failsafe, has a go home feature, when you do buy it, make sure you buy the care package to cover it along with fly away insurance, buy from dji and get the coverage

Ok, I am unpressed. I am 80 now, but I used just to make my own planes when I was a young guy and fly them,mostly fuel type planes. Now they are mostly ready to go. No fuel, small noise and super control right off. This unit is very cool and real easy to lean. It has lots of of prevention, like if it knows it is under a roof it won't go up. Or towards a wall etc. So start it up and have fun. Lots of control here. I love it. Oh, about the most worry is being over water, it can go down in water I can see that, so i know that. It is supposed to return when ever you want, just hit the return button? I hope so. So i see lots of fun and Videography coming up. Ok, headed to Mexico and Ensenada for lots of video.

I use the Mavic Air 2. When I use Tripod Mode it still goes just as FAST as Normal when going straight ahead. I know it is supposed to be super slow like 3 MPH but it does not go slow at all. Has anyone else been complaining about this issue? Can you tell me why this may be happening?

the anti-collection sensors have to identify obstacles more than 10 meters away because the drone being at speed does not give it time to stop

Can anyone help please. I have just had my first mavic 2 flight but the image on my phone was difficult to see, it was slightly dark it appeared although I had phone screen shot at top brightness. I then pressed the pro camera icon in bottom right of screen and it went in to an ultra bright outlining visual if that makes sense. How do i get an image on my phone that is equal to how i can see it. thank you in anticipation.

Hi Nicklas, kindly please don't hand-catch when landing because it's unsafe. It's recommended to find an open place to land the aircraft.

How to calibrate it?
What kind of cable is needed to attach phone to controller? Is it Microusb, "C" or lightning? I have a Galaxy s7 edge.
Hi, the connection port on the controller is USB-C, it comes with 3 types of cable for connecting the controller and mobile device, which are Micro USB, USB-C and Lightning. If your mobile device supports Micro USB connection, you can use the Micro USB cable.
@@DJITutorials : So the actual controller connection is USB-C? So I need a USB-C to Microusb for my android. As it has a thick case I need a cable with a deeper plug than what DJI supply. The same issue as with the MM but its controller has microusb connection. Thanks.
@@GorillamansGarage Yes, and the USB-C to Micro USB cable included in the box could be enough for connecting, you may try when you receive the drone.
@@DJITutorials : Thank you... but if the connector ends are like the Mavic Mini... they will not fit my phone with case (like so many others). I need a deeper plug end. I have had all the big name drones and they are all the same. Great technical marvels but mess up on the tiny things.

I received my Mavic Air 2 yesterday. I spent yesterday just getting familiar with it. Today, I went out just to try to get it off the ground and do some basic learning functions. Well, I have spent about four hours with it and it has not moved an inch. I contacted support about two hours into it and they asked me if I had it connected to the controller. I was not sure, so I went back out and went through the connect steps X number of times. I am assuming it is connected but it does nothing when I try a takeoff. I have blinking green led's on the rear arms and solid red led's on the front arms. I do not know if this is the normal operation or not. Anyway, something is keeping it from taking off...........I am at a loss at this point?????

DJI Tutorials Thanks for your response. I got it going okay. I think it was a matter of not holding the T/O button down long enough. I got it off with the sticks okay. That was really exciting!!!!

DJI can you tell us why the Uk will not get the same Mavic air 2 as what is being sold in the USA and why the UK is being charged more money than the USA. And why this drone has not built/registered with  European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) which will make it almost impossible to fly this drone any where in Europe  in.
They screwed us. Do you think further productions they could amend this so in 2 years it is compliant?
