- This Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 with sophisticated grey hull, ample teak-laid decks and fully opening transom is a great cruiser offering excellent performance and superb living comfort on board. The cockpit is quite ample thanks to her wide beam and there are lounging spaces abound with, among others, two big sun pads on either side of the companion way. The steering area is well-organized and carefully thought out with the result that the captain can comfortably move around to adjust and trim the sails. Her sail wardrobe consists of an Elvström in-mast furling main sail, Elvström self-tacking Jib and furling genoa and a North Sails Code 0. Another nice feature is the griddle that swings out from the aft bench so the chef can stand on the bathing platform to cook. She is furthermore equipped with: an 110hp shaft drive Yanmar diesel engine, bow thruster, generator, a full B&G navigation package, electric winches, a dinghy with outboard, telescopic cranes which fold away, etc. Also worth mentioning is the sizable drop-leaf cockpit table with stowage room for the life raft aft and a fridge forward.
Step down via the companion way and you’ll be surprised by the generous volume offered. The interior of this Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 looks and feels light and bright thanks to the vast amount of overhead hatches. But also the ‘brushed oak’ finish creates a very pleasant ambience. This Oceanis has a big owner cabin forward and has a WC area on one side, and a shower cubicle on the other. The three guest cabins are located aft and share the second bathroom. The C-shaped galley to port is well equipped, and the navigation corner is large and comfy. And to make your stay on board even more comfortable she is fitted out with air conditioning throughout, dishwasher, etc.
