- Pitting work schedules between two avid recumbent trike cyclists together with suitable weather can be a challenge, so when the opportunity presents itself..................., ride!
Paul & I hoped to view some fall colors but didn't expect to find much because of the weather pattern change this year and the predicted 'brown autumn'. So we simply tried to make the best of things.
Just love to watch these old videos you and Paul make, they where fun and very intertaning. Thanks for sharing.🎶🎀🎶
Thanks, Paul. And to think, we enjoyed the rides as much if not more than the viewers!
Very nice guys. We really enjoyed the tour. Have to add the area to our list of places to visit on our trikes. Thanks for sharing with us.
I hope to have this much swag as an older gentleman. These look like a lot of fun without the Gooch pain after!!
Chillin'! No gooch or wrist pain! Thanks for watching.
Wow, enjoying see you guys riding the Recumbent trike tour. Oh man .
Keep the videos coming. They are great.
Really enjoying your video's. Thanks.
What a beautiful place! Nice video guys
Caught some of your ride vids.....................; nice stuff! Wouldn't it be cool if we could 'all' go on a virtual trike tour together?
Nice Video!!! :-) I need to get there for one of ya'lls rides through town.
Belo passeio, aqui no Brasil não tem estes modelos de bike, estou programando fazer uma.
Faça e aproveite
I'd love to build one of these, with full suspension and a sturdier top. Hydraulic brakes the whole set to make it the ultimate touring trike. Carbon fiber and aluminum
Great video. I got questions to you as experienced trike tourists:
What new features or capabilities you would like to see in touring trikes?
Why don't you get yourselves velomobiles for your tours?
More 'built-in' features rather than after market bolt-ons. As for velo's, I enjoy capturing the scenery on video with side panning shots as opposed to fixed-angle shots with the shell noise or the need to over-dub the natural quiet of cycling with music and I'm not to keen on the side-to-side head bobbing of a helmet cam. In other words, I tour to take it all in with some of the ride captured on video not just get from A to B in a hurry.
I like the concept of velos, but it doesn't fit my riding style. How many velo guys use a hand held camera and shoot videos that feature the natural sounds of the area in which they ride? Plus I like to view the rider and their selection of clothing.
Good point,
but would you like to use some power assist and more road negotiability or even some off-road capability in your trike?
currishev
But then I wouldn't have the same sence of accomplishment. We don't see velos here on some of the 20-24% grades. You must be selling a power assist device? Off-roading? I like to ride with others with similar interests but off roading seems it's better suited for a younger group trying to test the limits of safety with an 'I can do this and nobody else can' attitude.
My vids are about enjoying life and sharing with others . So, why do you think this is a "great video"? How do you think a velo or power assist would improve it?
I see, you take pleasure "strolling" in your trike at 15kph or so, look around from your road, cracking jokes with you friend.
I can relate to that, but imagine you &your friend can reach tour sites where roads don't go?.. Quiet solitude, rest on virginal nature after somewhat effort-demanding aggressive spirited ride. BTW, assisted trike is easy on your knees too.
May be we don't know what we are missing.
He didn't use it for very long though I rarely I didn't even know he even had a talk to his until this video right now LOL
I 'loaned' this early test canopy to Paul so he cold sample the shade. He shed it after the ride; musta thought women couldn't see him well enough!
Lol lol Ed funny
where did you guys get your trikes.....who makes them and how much are they....also i like that canopy and i also see you got powerful head lights....I would appreciate any info...thanks....it looks like fun

Does that canopy make for a lot of drag?
On high-seated trikes where the canopy has a lot of loft...., yes (like holding an umbrella way over your head in windy conditions). However, on those reclined-seat trikes where the canopy is lower and more steam-lined..., NO. If fact, the aero advantage is noticeable but not by a significant amount. Hope that helps. Thanks for asking.
@@LogNotching Okay, thanks! About to order a Performer JC-70.
@@BlackWarriorLures If ordering from RBR, please note that I JUST got off the phone with Rob and he WILL take care of you. The seating on the JC-70 will 'allow' for that improved aero package as I mentioned. Best wishes.
oh Paul you got a top to way to go
He 'borrowed' it for a day; and if we're still friends the next time we ride maybe he can borrow it again! LOL
Yeah I noticed that I think he needs one full time and a windshield to . Help him out ED
What's on Paul's trike? I think it's some type of gps device? Also what attachment for that?
His phone is in a soft protective case. I looked for a case large enough to put Paul in but figured it would likely give into content-rejection!
What brand of canopies are those?
I make these:

Clay, I call out "Paul" several times during the video. See what he's riding at 25:18.It's not that difficult to discover what trikes we're riding!

I just purchased a terra trike terrain from college park cycles in MD, it's my first trike, and I've been looking at your videos for advice and ideas. Thank you for sharing
You might consider a canopy in 'digital-camo' secured to a heavy-duty Racktime pannier rack and tske more 'stuff' with you to the woods. including an awray of loghts mounted topdide the the accessory bar! If interested, email me for details: logbuilder@mindspring.co.
