In my experiences, they ignore my history, despite the details that I give verbally and in writing, then reject my concerns, and send me away to miscarry by myself. Every single time, except for the last one, because I never bothered to go in or notify them in the first place.
At my first visit they took blood to do all the panels to make sure baby and I were healthy, I opted to have additional testing to check for chromosomal defect risks, etc. I also had my first ultrasound at my visit and was pleasantly surprised that the lubricant was warmed before they put it on my belly. Since it's my first baby they didn't have to ask me about past pregnancies but they did ask me some basic questions on things I might not know. Let me know to feel free to call and ask or message her about anything, especially if I was concerned or had questions for her later that I hadn't thought of at the appointment or happened between that and my next appointment. It was a very nice appointment and she was very understanding when I didn't know certain things due to it being my first baby, she was very thorough when taking my medical history and family history as well, which surprised me since not even any of my primaries asked some of the questions she did.
My last pregnancy I was told to get abortion because I had too many kids. I went to my appointment with my daughter, my niece andy nephew cause I was babysitting them and it was simply an intake appointment. The dr also told my niece, who was 6, to shut up, his actual words, because she was whispering to my 1 year old keeping her entertained. He really didnt like my response nor did he like my response when he blocked the door to keep me from leaving. I seriously dislike Drs anymore.
Funny story, all the women on my maternal grandma’s side of the family lose weight while pregnant. Perfectly healthy pregnancies but they lose weight and doctors freak out about this but it’s perfectly normal for my cousins and my mom’s sister and my mom did too.
I’ll be 13 weeks on Saturday. My NT ultrasound is on Thursday 10/5/23. What things can I look for on the ultrasound to see if it’s healthy.. waiting on the results of the NIPT bloodwork is going to kill me… lol. Look for a nasal bone? What else? What mm should the nuchal fold thickness be? This is my first baby.
I just found out last Saturday that I’m pregnant again and this obgyn who isn’t my doctor explained to me that my levels of 21 isn’t pregnancy not unless “ if I got knocked up in the parking lot and came back in “ literally made me cry my eyes out he did urine test and blood work (can’t wait to prove him wrong ) I went home and took all kinds of test even a digital they all said positive and pregnant
Updates? Your comment makes me nervous because I got positive pregnancy tests. But I haven't seen my doctor yet. And I don't know what the results are going to be once I see the doctor

Hi Dr Rod. I’m doing OBGYN CLINICS for my APRN and your videos are very helpful and dynamics. Thanks for sharing 😊

Also to add mine did NONE OF THIS. Had me pee in a cup and said "come back in over a month". Smh....my baby could have been saved with blood work.
