This is something I never knew about so I have a completely unbiased perspective. I have only come to Atlanta a few times for work and I had always noticed that the general population of workers always seemed cranky and completely unbothered to help you, as if you were inconveniencing them for what they're being paid to do lol. Whether it be checking in at a hotel or the airport workers or whoever. And then recently I had to move here for a temporary time and I've been going around a different places and I'm definitely seeing it. Not all the time but more than I would like 😬 these unpleasant attitudes. My mistake was thinking that all of the south was the same coming from North Carolina, people always say North Carolinians are so nice but I thought that was because we were southern and because all southern states have nicer people but apparently that's not the case. ATL is a different beast.

As an Atlanta resident who has been here for 9 years, you’re correct.

All the people that are actually FROM here, will tell you that it’s mostly the out of town folks that’s trying to become famous are the ones with the attitudes. Everyone knows the east side has the best food.

The special treatment is definitely a problem. Because restaurant management and owners are only giving exceptional service to those who can give them more exposure and fatten their pocket. WHEN IN FACT, most of your revenue comes from your everyday, average customer who work hard for their money and it is your privilege as a business owner for them to choose to spend their money with you and patronize your business.

Keith's opinion has the power to destroy a restaurant's business. So in a way, they have no choice but to show him special treatment.
