  • GRF Coach Danny demonstrates to Mark how when the golf club is lead by the handle (letting the club head follow) how this lends itself to a more efficient sequencing of the swing.
As always, a huge thanks to Mark for letting us share his GRF lesson experience with you guys.

One of THE most important lessons for golfers! See also articles/videos on “Scottish lag” or “caddie swing.” The old guys from years ago had it right. Golf is not a game of positions, but one of movement.

As always a fab result. The chopping down a tree analogy comes straight from Shawn Clement. Watched that geezer smash it 300 yards with his driver, both left and right handed! He uses a mixed set of left and right handed clubs.

Another wonderful lesson, Danny. I’ve noticed that you boys encourage the hovering of the club on all shots via a waggle of the club and body just before the takeaway begins. Does this mean that you discourage the resting of the club on the ground just before the takeaway, even though you waggle your body? Cheers.

Really good video. Nice to see the freedom and in the swing. I know I’m too tight. How does grip size affect it. Grips too big vs too small? I went to a larger grip that fits my hand, but feel like I lost the feeling of the clubhead.

It's individual specific and player preference. I would suggest that yes, a larger supersize grip would contribute to less sensitivity and feel. It can also change the swingweight so overall feel of the clubhead.

Just love watching the faces on the students when they finally let go and go for it. The centrifugal forces created by the body seem to put the club and arms where they need to be. We’ll done

With that kind of freedom of movement and all the parts moving how in the heck does one make ball contact?

You have to wait for the head to catch up...where it matters...impact
