To my mind CJI diluted the gruesome incidence of rape and murder by focussing on broader issue of safety . It's misplaced priority. It was expected from CJI to unfold the sequence of events unfolding and the role of authorities action during the course of the events.
That's why never ever respect a lawyer like kapil sibbal.. Defending such heinous crime on behalf of the government who is trying to remove all the evidence... Making everything political on such crimes... Shame on kapil sibbal
I'm a Bengali...shocked and utter disappointed with CJI (expected)....The parents of the doctor said to different media (Bengali and national) that the hospital super called the family and told it was a suicide case...when they reached the hospital they were crying and requested the police to see the body...but the police denied as they were busy tampering the evidences from the crime scene and the body.....they were made to wait for three hours before they could see their daughters body........Sibbal and team is totally misleading the court with lies....thats how the supreme court of the country works....WB govt pays 10-20 lacs per hearing to Sibbal for saving mamata Banerjee from all the crimes committed by her....most of the judgements of Calcutta HC against Ms Banerjee gets stay order in Supreme Court as the cunning Sibbal and Manu Singhvi are master manipulators and easily take control of the puppet CJI

Everyone in India knows what's going on and the state government's actions over the years (they've been involved in nearly every crime imaginable). The Supreme Court should review all the pending cases connected to the state government.
Our legal system moves so slowly and has so many loopholes that 95% of the time, criminals remain free because of it.
Cases from our state, like the DA case, the Teacher Recruitment Scam, and now this one, are all stuck in the Supreme Court.
I worry that this case will also end up in the same situation.

The CJI is shrugging off the judiciary's responsibility by shifting the blame on the inadequate security provided to medical staff. What failed here was the inappropriate handling of the case which only works to bolster those committing such crimes that they need not fear the law. Lacking are the CJI's recommendations on instilling the fear of law and swift justice in such cases. Complicit in this crime are the hospital staff who were present, the police that mishandled the case, and the governing officials who gave the Hospitals principal a cover.
Unless suitable protection is given to women doctors this will be a total shame on India. There are no solid punishments for rapists. Abetted by the Govt and the police these elements are getting away with it.
