Ty for posting. I got this in a toro. Heavy with leather and black coffee, but the draw and the creaminess of the smoke makes it surprisingly mellow and enjoyable. I agree with the notes about espresso, cedar, and citrus. Good observation! Some cacao in the background as well. To my own surprise, this is a new favorite. The texture and draw seems to carry the dark flavors so well that it plays like sweeter cigar. It reminds me of the crema from a double espresso (no sugar). I can see why you give it a 91, but this is damn good for espresso fans
This cigar is better than what I thought it would be..I’ve had both the belicoso and the Churchill and I felt the Churchill had a bit more moxie than the belicoso . Now if you’re a novice to semi-moderate smoker i . e a novice this cigar might be a little bit much for you nonetheless it has some very good complexity going on but make no mistake it is a very strong smoke.
Your production quality is getting better with every review. I think Jazz background music would fit perfect. I am a big jazz fan. Also a big AJ fan, this ones going on my list. Great review as always.
Smoking one now (about 1" down), very much leather laden with a hint of sweetness and plenty of spicy pepper. I agree that the wrapper is on the lighter side for a maduro wrapper. Thanks for sharing your review 😎
I just like watching your reviews because dude you sure know your cigars. And if you say it’s good then I’m straight to my cigar dealer. I’m from Australia so we don’t have the access and prices as you do in the US. Cheers my friend I’m off to order the Cohiba beliscoco
What do you think about the Gurkha grand reserve? I bought one because all the reviews I’ve seen about it, but a lot of people also think they are rubbish and not worth the prices attached to them. Seeing you know your cigars hombre , I would like to get your opinion. And also got myself a Montecristo 2, they are smoking cigars you think
I have not tried that one but I've never been impressed with Gurkha cigars. I have only reviewed one and was not impressed with it: tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2018/02/gurkha-blendmasters-cask-toro-6-x-52.html
Yeah thats dark brown, its Maduro to me... But not the dark dark black madurouh that often you can see. Maduro is all the craze lately and the full flavour fuller bodied (and strongish strength).

I assume it's a Cuban Monte 2. Those are very good! Enjoy!
I'm currently smoking this cigar right now. Never known of a RyJ being spicy and full-bodied....this cigar is GREAT!!!

Joe Wiacek thank you.
I agree Joe, the production quality is excellent, but I would suggest a change in music; that said, a great review Tim, thank you.
I play drums, that is where my taste for Jazz comes from. But I see we share a similar taste in cigars.
We certainly do! 😊

Thank you for the very kind words, Bakos.
I’m smoking this as I watch this. I got a little dark chocolate in mine and lots of pepper.
