It actually does happen a lot in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. You pay them and they give you a formulas of dua called wazifa which is not part of sunnah. They said they will pray Istikhara for you, give you a special dua formula for job, love, marriage until you pay them. My aunt went to these people because she didn’t know it was haram, now she stopped.

I am not a Muslim, but many times i was irritated to see Muslims praying after hurting people in their life AND hurting again and again, after prayers, thinking its just fine if GOD forgives them, not caring about those people involved and making a HABIT of it. I was wondering why God didnt make this point clear for the unscrupulous people...and now u showed me what exactly sharia says... and i am happy, but still sad that many Muslims seem to just ignore it in their daily life and think they can use the prayer to just go away with anything. I tried to read the Book, but its language is too complicated and i always need someone to simplify it for me and lead me to the fragments which answer my direct/personal questions. This video did (to one of my questions) and u did it as well, with ur reply. Common kindness is a conception almost forgotten within people. I am saying "within" because i mean "in the heart", not in what they show outside...with their so-called good deeds. U can blind people, but u can never blind God, He can see in what u have in the depth of ur heart: genuine love or fakeness.
True. It’s really sad that many Muslims who are blessed with Islam since birth don’t acknowledged this blessing. In order to show others our religion, we gotta obey it properly. Alhamdulliah, Allah made it easier for me. Honestly, don’t think like Muslims are perfect. I would suggest you to continue your study to Islam by your own. Of course, you should get help when you need. After all, we all are human and we make mistakes almost everyday. No matter how much you sin, if you repent from heart , your sin will be forgiven. But we have to make sure we don’t repeat the sin.

To be honest with you all, we are more than able to help ourselves.

And people who do ruqyah to acquire wealth, well their ruqyah is not 100% effective compared to the raqi who is genuinely doing it to help the person and not with the intention of earning extortionate amounts of money , there are some raqis who dont obtain money at all they don't have a fee , the patients gift them the money out of courtesy of which ever amount they wish .

My 8 year old daughter did hijama and ruqyah on my back pain and its gone after one week. Using black seed oil, pain balm and indian costus. We need to revive ruqyah and hijama in our homes. Its free.

Yes I agree totally 100% about what was mentioned. Not everyone can just become a raqi and do ruqyah and treat people and then charge certain fix amount of money. Doing ruqyah is not like a doctor treating a patient, diagnose, prescribe medications and charge the patients with service and medications. As a person who has gone through many ruqyahs in many years to heal oneself, its not easy. I dont just go to any raqis or ustadzs. I will find out how they perform the ruqyah, is it in line with the shariah? Are they pious and their backgrounds too where possible. Many things need to be considered to avoid being shirk to Allah SWT. Especially women, they must be accompanied all the time and not be left alone with a male raqi. Its forbidden.
This is my first time hearing teenages being used as raqis. That is a dangerous thing do. How much knowledge and strong are they to perform ruqyah? So irresponsible of the adults who get these kids involve in ruqyah. I guess where money is concern they are willing to do anything.
Pray to Allah that fake raqis always be exposed for the sake of people from being trick by them and dupe with their money but they are not healed. A lot of zikirs and sunat prayers besides the 5 daily prayers asking for Allah SWT's guidance will help. May Allah avoid us from these type of people from taking advantage upon us all the time. Wallahua'lam.

Finally someone to address the reality of doing ruqya and being a raqi which is a huge responsibility.
No one should become a raqi if they cannot fulfil certain requirements. Let alone youngsters doing a course and proclaiming themselves to be raqis. Subhan Allah surely Allah has warned us those times will come with much fitna and deception.
When becoming a raqi chances of the armies of Iblees coming after you are multiplied by 1000. So unless you have a total devotion to recitation of Quran and living pure life, this calling because it is not a job rather is a calling from Allah then you are not fit to be a raqi. Someone should start regulating this in the UK because too many fakes out there and too many misinformed people who rather recite on themselves or their relatives they go seek help outside and get scammed.

We need to learn self ruqya or atleast the close family members need to step up and learn ruqya for their loved ones. Islam is for everyone, all those affected need to make Quran and sunnah their way of life. Its easier to spend to money and harder to sit memorize and understand Quran. Possession, sihr and all is evil and yes if you are to be afflicted by it is , it is Qadr Allah, but please put in the extra extra efforts to learn Quran and reach the new heights in your deen, Quran and sunnah. The plot of shaitan is weak and Allah says a strong believer is more beloved than a weak one though both are beloved , so be more strong in your iman and practice . May Allah cure everyone and keep us all safe from the plots of shayateen. Ameen

Ruqya providers be feeling the pinch now, especially since the exposing of the insta couple. It’s cast doubts for a lot of people and rightfully so.
What about the items they sell like water, oil, honey and the other stuff. It's crazy extortionate prices for this stuff.
After many years suffer i started Ruqya by my self..During i red quran all my body shaking . After that without stopping i pray my 5 prayer, i made zikir and read and listen to quran for almost 8 month. One day when i got up from bed i felt easy and happy. I thank to Allah..but after some month i stop to pray ,,zikir.. then the sickness ( or jinn) cames back...now i started again. I am now happy, healthy..no fear, no anxiety ...what our brother said are true. Ruqya can make by our self..we should pray continously read quran..zikir at night and morning..inshallah all will be alright

I know of few people who help without taking a single penny and have cured terrible situations. They are genuine people who help those who are unable to help themselves.

Agree with you. Even the raquis exposed themselves by the way. As you said, one has to be firmly grounded onto the deen to provide ruqyah. I know of some raquis who declined to perform ruqyah after consulting with patients because of the level of the disease/demons/ayn etc; more so as the lecturer in the video mentioned, because they are not yet senior OR even when they are, they fear for their family as the jinns can attack their children, wives, etc. Lol remember jinns live like hundred of years....
Best way is to perform it onto yourself or have the help of close relatives bc the family will be/ is fighting the same battle. The bottom line is that that process will elevate you and your family, and you will get shifa in sha Allah.

I see how a certain people are now using this social media ruqyah scandal to disparage ruqyah and hijama but as an ex hijama therapist I think we need to tackle the taweez business which are being given by molvis and maulanas and actually contain magic which is rife in alot of communities and the fact that people are bringing up their children surrounded by music freemixing and haram.
