Christmas gift, called Cut My COAT. it became one of my favourite publications... Was pattens for folwear, and one of ghe main things was, zero waste. so this pattern just looks perfect, with those shapes. i had an image saved in a pinterest folder, and have been eanting to make it for a few years. Good evening, I made my apron and being that this is my first garment (other than a mask) I am very proud of myself. I will first start by mentioning that I am a plus size woman with plenty of rolls for baking, bottom for bouncing and hips for couching my bones. My cutout and put together will have to be tweaked to make it larger in the neck and if I want my bottom to hide the back straps as well. I am pleased all the same. I also want to make mine longer. Thank you. When I put my pockets on I will take a picture and send it to you.

    Some time has gone by since you aired this wonderful video on how to make this very useful apron! I wanted to down load the pattern but I am unable to. I was reading some of the most recent comments ( 2yrs old!) and followed the link for the pattern. It led me to your store where I have to purchase it. Right now the amount is not all that great but for me it means food for the dogs or for myself. That is why I am curious as to if the pattern may have been just a temporary special. Not a problem, I’ll just adjust and get creative as you have done! Great idea for the table cloth! I have a few I inherited that might just work out right!
    It doesn’t matter if I am in my quilt studio or the kitchen, when I put an apron on I feel like I have my uniform on and it’s time to work!

I found linen-look fabric (85% viscose, 15% linen) on sale for $6.49/yd in twelve solid colors (52" wide) and 100% linen at $10.99/yd (width not shown) today at Joann in case this is helpful.

    I want to convert my woodworking apron to have cross back straps like this, thinking of making straps then putting my apron on and placing the straps where they go pin them then sew, should work. The shoulder cross straps they come with are just too much effort and I have to do a little dance to get into it.

    Hi. Thank you for this paternities. I don't see the exact measurements of the pattern except for notations, one 36"meaning length (?) and 13" given as a neck opening measurement. What am I missing?

    • @OurGabledHome
      @OurGabledHome  Před 4 lety +1

      It is more or less a square pattern, depending a little bit on your size. The pattern is very forgiving, though. If in doubt, I recommend that you make a "trial apron" from some leftover fabric or cheap muslin and adjust from there. Hope this helps!

    Býva dobrým zvykom u ľudí ktorí nepoužívajú Medzinárodné jednotky SI, uvádzáť okrem palcov aj jednotky: centimeter, meter, resp. ďalšie dĺžkové miery. Veľmi by to uľahčilo prácu. Nevadí, našťastie sú tu autori, ktorí uvádzajú tieto jednotky.
