I’m glad he made a life for himself. Sweden is proud of you Alex!
Being a gangster is like being a pirate, they’ve got the drip, but the lifestyle actually sucks for those living it, and for those around them.
I just hope we invest what is nessecary into low income areas, and the housing market in general, so those efforts don’t just amount to gentrification.
No matter what, and no matter who we vote for, we should all work hard to integrate these communities into mainstream Swedish society.
I hope for a future where a ”gangster” is just a term for kids messing around and adults to cosplay, just like pirates are viewed these days.
To anyone living in these conditions, please don’t give up!
Even if most of society ignores your pleas, even if your future prospect seem bleak, and even if you don’t think you have the talent to get a good formal education, just make sure you wake up the next day, and give your future another go!
Perhaps you’ll find a good opportunity to make a good future for yourself along the way.
And even if you don’t get rewarded for your efforts at the end of the day, at least you can rest peacefully and proudly in the knowledge that you tried your best to make a bad situation better.
