I love how you teach us that we can use other things besides fondant. Every other cooking channel uses fondant for everything and as I don't really mind fondant, it does get a bit tiring and monotonous. Like instead of fondant all the time, you show us how to use chocolate or candy or something and it's just so refreshing to see someone using something other than fondant all the time, so thank you, thank you, thank you for that.

I gotta say, as a New Zealander it's so nice to see someone who uses ingredients or names of ingredients and measurements that I actually know XD also loving the gingerbread house without snow everywhere. Gotta love the Southern Hemisphere.

Thank you so much for your constant inspiration! I made a gingerbread house this year with the recipe and template from your website and just had to leave a comment with my appreciation. First time making the gingerbread myself and I was delighted with your recipe, the spices were just right, not too strong or overpowering, everyone complimented the taste. I thought you would also like to know that my house survived a week of 30+ degrees heat with 80% humidity just fine, it was just kept in a cupboard covered by a plastic bag. So congrats on an excellent recipe!

I live in Australia, too, it’s really bad because it doesn’t snow at Christmas, or really ever. This will be the first time my mum and I don’t make a gingerbread house at Christmas because we’re going to New Zealand. Still, last year my mum and I made a gingerbread house using your recipe!
