Late to the party as I only discovered your channel yesterday. I was so impressed with this plugin that I bought the GE version about 8 years ago. One thing your video didn't cover is that the EQ and compression can be controlled by a sidechain signal. So you can, for example, selectively duck a chosen range of frequencies according to the signal coming in on the sidechain channel. This is great for ducking an instrument bus to make room for a vocal, but only in the frequency range that the vocal sits in.
I really didn't know how versatile this plugin was so to see a this review has been beneficial for me, my mixes have gone up a notch in quality, and I have you to thank✨keep up the good work
What a clear and insightful video, thank you so much! I loved this plug in first time round but will get so much more out of it now. Keep up the awesome work 🙂
Thanks for getting the word out on TDR, love their plugs. Some of the most fairly priced, easiest to use, highly flexible and powerful sound tools available today. Like a fab filter plug, this is the kind of plug that makes you say “I think I’m done looking, this one has everything I need in one package, and more.” Reminds me of the hardware/analog days when you didn’t try different eqs to have a million options, you tried them to find that one that would end up as your reliable workhorse. If I’m using nova in a session, it’s probably going on every track as my “eq of choice” for that whole session
No doubt this is the best free fx plugin. There is no project that I dont use it. Great content! You should show us more usefull plugins like this that are free.
George don't think you'll believe this but-spent the day reviewing a bunch of info/tutorials on the TDR Nova as I'm just getting ready to use it in a mix for sidechaining the kick/bass...moved on to some tutorials on the actual sidechaining itself, saw the link I'd saved to yours to get to and decided to check it out,did a little browsing over here beforehand and saw this-blew my mind!! Much thx for doing this;remember an earlier one of yours where you touched on the plugin briefly in the context of the video's overall focus but-this should be great, looking forward to getting to it....BTW thx again for your great tutorial on the piano frequency ranges...
Showing how the HP and LP filters worked was really helpful for me. I looked at 4 other videos on the TDR Nova by so-called-experts and none of them even bothered to mention it. Thank you!
Love the TDR Nova. The free version is a step above even many paid plugins. Kind of a poor man's Pro-Q 3 though I know more than a few folks who actually prefer the Nova over the Fabfilter.
EQ is not what you want for pitch shifting, all EQ does is enhance or lower specific frequencies that are in a given signal. If you need to change the pitch of a part, you need to use something that will alter pitches. Most DAW's have something built in that can do basic pitch shifting, there's plugins like Soundtoys Little Alterboy or plenty of others that will do the trick
HELLO BIG QUESTION EVERY TIME I MAKE THE DY WETT SIGNAL TO 70 percent it does something to the signal like magic but everytime you say if on 100% nothing will happen can u explain

Thanks for this.. and Nice Voice
so far this is the best plugin when i am working with my vocals not unless someone tell me there is a better freeware out there that i don't know of.
you are absolutely stunning ✨
my favorite plugin for tightening up that bass and slamming those transients \m/\m/ in fact it inspired the fabfilter proq v3 ^.^
You can adjust the Q of a band by scrolling up or down while it is selected, saves a lot of time.
beautifull
Any tutorial for compression ?
anyone know how to actually get your changes to stay on a recorded track ? mine doesnt seem to wana keep my changes when recording a beat
Btw, in Windows each band can be changed in Q with the wheel and type of band with the right clic.
I use this pluigin TDR NOVA with virtual dj pro,is the best pluigin ever

Great video!! 💕 I have a question, do you know how to just change the pitch of audio with it? I want to use it as a simple voice changer. Thank you ❤

Hey I would love some help with dynamic eq on my mixes ! My vocals end up harsh! I’m at a turning point!!!
Don’t give up keep trying. I was there once. It works well in the end. Keep
Learning. Practice makes improvement ♥️
love all your video they are super fun and informative good luck ❌⭕ ❌⭕ ❌⭕
How tf u save preset
Does it have Mid Side EQ?
I believe mid-side is possible. Need to run two separate instances of this in series. One with “sum” (mid) selected and “diff” (sides) selected.
Nice. Some examples would be nicer...
I know I know.... Its way to soon to say I love you....
