Stockport fan here , Mansfield we’re my tip last season to go up , only injuries stopped them , looking really solid all round again this season under clough , long way to go for both of us , we got a lot of injured players coming back now . Three best teams I have seen are Doncaster Mansfield and ourselves .👍👍
Stags have 7/8 injuries at mo majority long term. Including our top striker Rhys Oates 9 months. CB Kilgour out for season along with both RBs we’ve had an horrendous injury list this year even worse than last season. Not to mention Quinn and Bowery suspended. Oh and Clough touchline ban lol. I think Notts County are a good side and will win the play offs.
Wow Aden Flint! I remember when he was tipped for the top level when he was at Bristol - strange how football works as the likes of Dunk and Webster at Brighton have made it while Flint is in L2. Fine margins.
He got sheff Wednesday promoted last season and could still be playing in the championship. Came to us on a free because he’s a local lad n loves the stags 🔵🟡
Our defence has been ropey for a while. We got away with it when we were in the National League but was very worrying when we didn't bring in any new defenders for the start of this season. I think we've signed a couple of loan players but i've yet to see anything from them. We also this annoying habit of passing the ball around the back, no matter how many times we've ended up losing it and conceding a goal. Happened more than once during last season but we carry on doing it. Mansfield were just the better side on the day. More than a few poor performances from our players. Hopefully this will be a wake up call for Notts to look at sorting out the defence at some point this season.
Bostock had a stinker all game. Trying to win a free kick cost County a goal. Pathetic and didn’t deserve to be captain. Notts were poor after 5 minutes. Deserved to lose that game playing like that. No balls, no passion, no heart, no desire from the Notts players. Embarrassing
All joking aside, the top 8 in league 2 are all interchangeable. Stockport a cut above…for now. Gillingham looked like the were going to run away with it, then Notts took over. The top 3 spots will all change places between now and May. Mansfield and Stockport will both falter. All teams do. Wrexham is going through their learning curve, same GA as Notts. It will be a dogfight down to the last weekend. Strap in baby! It’s going to be a wild ride!
What sets the top league 2 teams from the rest in past years? Seems like there’s a lot of good teams and I’m wondering how in the past some teams have gotten away from the rest of the pack?

Flint could still be playing at a higher level. It's only because it's local to him that he came to Mansfield
