Tbh, I love how baker has redefined his mechanics and footwork and improved. He’s still in the habit of one dimensional reads, but he is getting better. He used to have disgusting footwork. Now he has that Romo/Rodgers footwork and I love it. He’s able to generate more torque with that footwork because of the weight and momentum shift. But, he is sort of struggling with it because it’s new to him and this form of mechanics is other worldly and hard to master. But, once you do master it, you can throw off of different platforms and angles easier. That’s part of the reason Stafford changed his footwork last year.
By week 5 if baker keep playing like this odell and jarvis need to get tf up outta there

Its not Mayfield, Odell or Jarvis, they are legit warming up. They didn't get preseason. Like the announcer said, Odell is coming from an injury he played through last season. Jarvis is coming back from hip surgery. I don't care what you say, they didn't get to practice against other teams in preseason.

I'm from MARYLAND and a Ravens fan. But the reason why you guys can't win is because yall need better DC and OC. You guys don't spend time together off season or off days. And our guys do ! We build friendships/ chemistry off the field so it can show on the field. If we make mistakes we work on them immediately. Our guys reach out to older NFL players for mentorship. You guys don't! We let everyone get touches. We don't have pride and ego. Our coaches have meetings and make sure everyone is good. The Ravens are A 1 BAND 1 SOUND TEAM. Baker needs a mentor. He show hit up Peyton so he can help him develop

I love how everyone is hating on Baker Mayfield. This is a against a great defense and these DB'S are MAULING the receivers on their routes and throwing off timing. Odell and Landry need to be making these catches. This game was a disaster in the second half, but they will come out on Thursday and right this ship. Believe me. Baker Mayfield is a damn good QB, but they gotta let CHUBB AND HUNT feast to open up the pass game. Same clowns bashing Mayfield now were the same ones on draft day, after they were made look foolish his rookie season and had to eat their words. Ya'll don't know football, straight up. This browns team will be fine.
The offense may improve, but this browns defense is a complete joke. Will continue to get bullied in passes in the middle of the field, and tight ends will feast on the god awful linebackers. Baker is a game manager at best when he plays smart, which is not a given any given day. Look for players like Odell to get traded this season to tank. You can pretend all you want, this team IS NOT FINE.

Browns need to dump odell for some picks, bolster the linebackers and offensive line and become a run heavy team. Stefanski is also a god awful coach, better than kitches but not much else. Gase and taylor being the only coaches looking worse thus far.
Ain't too much you can do when your qb rushing throws and consistently being inaccurate .. all a receiver can do is run his route it's up to the QB to get it where it needs to be instead of essentially helping the dbs cover his receivers.

baker actually played good for the most part. They were going against a very good secondary and team for that matter. This was just a difference in organizations honestly. Browns still looked like they lacked focus for most of the game.
Baker didn’t play good. Holy shit I can’t believe people think that. Don’t get me wrong OBJ or Landry didn’t play well either. Look at the last play of this vid, OBj beat the corner and was wide open, all Baker had to do was hit him in stride. He overthrew that ball so hard.
OBJ put some work in for the few catches he had. The drop on 3rd down was behind him but you still expect a catch from him. On the go he did his job but Baker did not do his. He drew 2 penalties for 1st downs plus 15. Landry played ok as well. Can't blame them for a QB that can't deliver.

Ravens had a good coverage but good dbs won't need to even try to hook or touch a wr after 10 yds, either jam them off the line or if they get around you, then there shouldn't be undo contact, most dbs will take the penalty before giving up the pass, so kudos to them for penalizing themselves instead of being exposed, a great db reads the qb and can put themselves in better position to break up the pass without holding a arm or trying to force themselves back in front of the wr after the wr gets that first step
