I remember meeting Thomas and the guys in Leeds on tour, then bringing them some guitar pics the next night in Newcastle. About a year or two later I saw them in York and they recognised me and brought me a beer and hung out. Can't believe it was 15 or 16 years ago now. Time flies.
I'm loving the modern alterations on these ones; this might be even better than the Hurley studios version. I watched that like 100 times back in the day, no joke. The only thing missing is the exhilarating shredding in the last 4 bars that the other version had... but you could always combine them ;)
They were a gold mine weren't they? And nobody understands. I think they just about marked the end of the golden era of TFOT; I strongly believe everything after that has been mediocre - perhaps aside from Battleship Graveyard, The Vomiting Winter, Nobody's Perfect & Walk of Fame.. that whole album was too slow though. I remember watching those new songs live before they were released, and they definitely had more energy to them. Now in the unlikely event I listen to ITUE, I boost the tempo 😂
@@SVHavok I vaguely remember that man.. the live version had more energy. I don't know why bands have a tendency to tone stuff down for the official release.
From what I hear they did official tab books thru Sheet Happens so that company has been removing tabs from the internet :( everyone says the tab books are amazing tbough
When you put all of your stat points into creativity
save some for manuals and grinds!!! creativity is important tho.

The fact you sing and play this is insane
really not that hard
@@Stix_Zidinia so do it then. Shrill screams included.
@@Stix_Zidinia I mean, anything's easy if you spend enough hours practicing, which I'm sure Thomas does.
3:47 I love how he gets into it!!
Just now finding this and realizing we're coming up on 20 years now!
3:47 Talk about a powerful and adrenaline-pumping way to end an already great song!

My favorite were the ghostship demos before they were Phantom on the horizon
+1 for when "nobody's perfect" was still untitled when it was played at the Hurley studio
