  • GIVI Trekker Outback luggage review after 4000km Moto Tour.
    Hi everyone and thanks for tuning in. In this video I'll give you my honest opinion about GIVI Trekker Outback panniers and top box, one of the most popular adventure luggage on the market.
    GIVI adventure panniers and top case (58l) are mounted on Suzuki V-Strom 650 2017 model, the bike I was riding on my last Moto tour around countries of west Balkan.
    Please don't consider this to be full A-Z review of Givi Trekker luggage, as I'm focusing in this video only on things that were important to me while Moto touring with Givi luggage.

      Thanks very much for that info. They do feel like they're capable of going through a lot, but when someone actually confirms it's a different story so thanks 👍👋

    Zdravo.

    it would have been interesting to here something about the support plates, at the least for the top case... I don't have very clear which of the multiple options available is the best for weight handling and compability over different bikes

    My doubt is buy 58lt or 42lt... In daily use i only gonna use the center top case, but is it 58lt too big for that? Does it change stability in bike at 130km in highway? Will it let me filter the traffic?

    With that panniers size does it affect highway riding while cruising 70 to 80 mph ? I want to buy same panniers for my s1000xr for touring

  • @herbert24
    @herbert24 Před 2 lety

    Hallo from Styria in Austria! I want to buy the same suitcases. I would be interested to know if your side cases have 48 liters or less. I heard that there should be problems with the side case lid if you have mounted the large top case with 58 liters. Then the lids of the side cases no longer open completely. Maybe you can tell me more about it. Greetings, Herbert.

  • @arpa592

    Have you took pillion with you while the paniers were on? It seems the top of the boxes are very close to the seat level. Nice summary though.

    Question...
    How do they handle low speed impact ? Do they distort and go out of alignment ? Here in Australia we (well I, to be more specific :-) ) tend to drop my GSes a lot, in a mud, gravel and bull dust while riding around desert or outback. It is usually low speed drop but still some damage is done.I am on my second set of Varios after total of around 30,000km off-road. They worked well but after quite a few drops/impacts they tend to end up wobbl, so thinking of going with Aluminium now (Givi or Touratech), or perhapd even just sticking GSA frames and use soft luggage.

      Maybe for you the best option is the full aluminium set from sw motech. Expensive, yes.. but sturdy material overall. ✌🏻

      @nomadxgrey Před 3 lety

      If you have the top box, there is a lever right underneath the keyhole. If you don't then just get the other mounting system

    Nice review! But do they really water proof? I heard somewhere they said that for light rain is ok but when heavy rain there will get a little bit wet inside, is it true?

  • @HDFoxra
    @HDFoxra Před 4 lety +1

    I'm curious to why you day the price is a +... These are one of the most expensive panniers on thr market... Around $300 US dollars just for the mounting brackets, and nearly $400-600 PER pannier. Not all panniers together, but per individual pannier... If you got them cheaper than that, I'd love to know where, cause I'd buy em in a heart beat. But no way am I paying over $1000 for a thin box of aluminum...

    • @lh5522
      @lh5522 Před 4 lety +1

      If you're in the US, you're paying more due to import duty and shipping. Givi kit is made in Italy so travels a fair way to you guys.
      Probably better off with something made in the USA...
