You are leaving friends you have made behind and B12 is possibly dead. Though I like to believe he is in the main circuit hinted by the electronics coming to life at the last second. It's nice when a story doesn't just spoonfeed you what you expect or want from an ending. It is risky though and it often angers many.
Now that I think about it, what if the flash is Not b-12 and it's another human. The other human could be the villain of the next game (stray 2) If it releases

"The world outside is a lifeless wasteland" from what we were told, or at least it was when humans were still around fucking with it, seems to be doing much better after several hundred years without humans around.
FR ME TOO. i felt like we got no closure since the ending is clearly good, bittersweet since the drone died but man they could've showed the reunion, just a little bit of it at least.

I REALLY HOPE THEY MAKE A SEQUEL WHERE THE GINGER MEETS ITS OTHER FRIENDS i wasnt too satisfied with the ending as the cat didnt meet its friends again
I was pretty sad when b12 died, not only was it a friend gone but possibly the last human on the planet left, all those years of human knowledge and memories of those long gone now completely gone, but was a good send of as allowing those who roam the earth to now build their own history.

My theory is that the tiny robot transfers its consciousness to the main control system... Since this is not the first time he did that.
Think the little touch pad on the left just before the credits lighting up and seemingly booting up supports your theory.
