    Non-stop failures? You're doing it wrong lol no, I'm sorry to hear that. I picked mine up last Saturday. Added a conservative amount of CLP and ran 700rds through same day... not a single problem. Ran another 300 or so the day after. Going to stress test this Saturday with 1500 and see how it goes. Only difference is mine is iron sights, just personal preference but that should have no impact on function.

    Did you Direct mount your optic? I had a problem about a year ago when I purchased my Sig P320 DH3 and 5 inch 10mm. At the time CZcamsrs and Holosun said RMR optics direct mount which was not true. Holosun screws were to long for direct mount and destroyed two extractor springs which Sig replaced under warranty and informed me Holosun screws were to long and they see this problem all the time so started use C&H Precision plates and no problem. Just wondering if your optic screws are just starting to touch extractor not enough to completely damaged but enough to cause problems. With completely damaged or broke extractor handgun will jam when trying to go into battery and slide won’t completely close and go into battery. Just a suggestion.

      Actually, the back of the extractor comes out a little were you can see the spring. This is normal in 365. Mines is the same and works fine. Disassemble the gun. Stand the barrel on the muzzle and drop rounds by hand into the chamber. If they don’t drop in then you most likely have a chamber that was not concentric with the barrel. I have a Kimber that did exactly the same thing. I figured the problem on my own. Notified Kimber and they corrected the issue. Some rounds functioned perfectly and others didn’t. It’s sad that a reputable company has issues like this but shit happens.

    Why is the ejection port on the left side of the gun??? I'm confused. I noticed when you rack the slide, your hand rides the slide forward. What I’ve found with my Sigs, is certain mags cause feeding issues, usually the extended ones. Try using standard flush fit mags and extended side by side. I find my guns likes a good amount of lube too. Runs good on the drier side, but much better oiled. I clean and lube it up once a week and stopped using extended mags and my Sigs run fine now. Also, new mags tend to have a very tight spring and it seems like ones that are more broken in work just fine. I think the springs in the mags cause it partially. Cause i cant use any 18 rn .40 mags in my 320 chambered in that. Flush mags work like a charm. I can rapidly mag dump with no issues. With extended mags, it’s like every 3-4 rounds there’s a failure to feed.

    I bought one about a week and a half ago. A week ago. I shot it. The first 3 mags, (17 and 2-21s), did this constantly. I brought it inside, cleaned it, and then just using the 17 round mag, was able to run it with 16 rounds 3 times without stoppage. It wouldn't even feed the 17th round though to shoot it. The mags were hard to load, so Im hoping the stiff mag springs caused these issues. I have had it in the safe for a week with the mags loaded to hopefully break in the springs, and I'm hoping tomorrow that it functions better. If that $700 gun doesn't do better, it's going back to SIG or getting traded in on something more reliable, and I'll never buy another SIG. I wish now that I had never bought it.

    • @johnmott3897
      @johnmott3897 Před měsícem

      Follow up. I loaded all 3 magazines with FMJ and let them sit for a week and a half. I just ran them with no issues. I suspect the mag springs being stiff were causing the stoppages. I now have 158 rounds through it. I am going to reload the mags and let them sit for a few days before shooting again. Then between shooting all 3 mags several times, I'll put another 200 rounds through it to see if it is broken in enough to trust. If it cycles the next 200 rounds with no problems, I'll try some hollow points and then trust it to carry if it does well.

      I discovered an issue this past weekend when changing the backstrap to the large from the medium. The medium backstrap has a nut (it's currently on the gun) in a small slot. The small and large ones do not have one. This is the nut that the star screw from the magwell goes into, to secure the mag well back on the gun and is part of the design to help hold it all together. My concern is "buggering" it up or losing it getting it out if I am supposed to swap it between backstraps. I have contacted SIG and requested 2 of them for those backstraps.

    • @johnmott3897
      @johnmott3897 Před měsícem

      Its ridiculous that they didn't put them on the other backstraps, as its a very small piece that should be seated in the slot in the backstrap and left alone to prevent losing. I don't know what they were thinking as it can't cost very much and is a bad reflection on their design to not be a captive part, as well as of their cutting corners on a $700 gun. @mike34744
