  • Asmr video of me installing an outside tap on a solid 4ft Cotswold stone wall!
The pipe hole was drilled 25mm to be sleaved with 22mm copper.
I chose to drill through the motar because the bricks are solid and when I say solid I mean solid!
There was very few nice bricks to fix the backplate elbow to hence why I went upwards onto the nice big brick.
Simply solder your 90 degree with upstand to your location of tap then drill using a 6mm bit into the brick to mount using red raw plugs.
I chose ptfe to make the tap into the back plate as I like to be able to replace easily if it fails.
Thanks for watching my video and please like, subscribe and comment below your method!

Not for climate with frost. It is more interesting with these self emtying taps.

Should use a built-in plate on the pipe look so much better

Choice of fixing was my issue, this was only way I could grantee it being solid

I like it. Anything to fill the crack where the copper exits?

Hi, 2 questions, 1) where do you get the gizmo that you use to clean the pipe? 2) why do you always add more flux after soldering?

It cools down the pipe a bit and helps cleaning it better. // There is a guy making them, they're sold on ebay last I saw them.@@petercole5974

I keep seeing all this outside plumbing. I live in a Sunbelt state with mild Winters and hot summers and nothing is allowed outside. You would think because it's hot you could put it outside but you can't

What’s the rules and why they stop you from doing so

Almost everything we do has to be according to the plumbing code and has to be inspected

@@mmplumber for example where I am not installing a double check dual check inspectable backflow is up to a $10,000 fine

We can use check valves on outside taps to stop legionellas/backflow.
Could also out a bit of lagging on it and or winterise it when needed.

If you don't sleeve the pipe it will corrode within the wall & leak.
