I have the chance to go to Bergamo quite often, since my sister lives there. I love the city, I discover each time something new. The history of the Colleone family is very interesting and the food is excellent! Both Città Alta and Città Bassa are beautiful, take the funicolare to San Virgilio!

I hope to see more of Italy one day, especially the more extreme northern locations like Lombardy here or Trentino-Alto Adige, but also locations in the very south like the region of Puglia. I enjoy very much seeing the differences in architecture and landscapes that you can find from region to region in Italy, France, and Spain. Despite their relatively small size (compared to say the U.S. or Canada), those 3 countries have stunning diversity.

I heard about Bergamo because the main character of play "The servant of two masters" by Goldoni was from Bergamo.
There are many adaptations and films based on this play.
the character is based on Harlequin (or Alecchino in italian) who was from Bergamo too

Равно как и Италия, в которой в античности жило 5 млн человек, уже тогда достигла своей оптимальной численности населения. В Средние века эпоха Возрождения началась только тогда, когда чума истребила в 14 веке 70% населения.
Именно мысли об этом ролик и навевает.
