Actually the husband never flirted or had any feelings for this woman, li mengzhu. It was a setup from the very beginning by the father and daughter with the ultimate goal of stealing this man, guangming's research for their own pharmaceutical firm. The father used his daughter to seduce him to get the research. When it didn't happen. Then came the lies, the theft, the kidnapping, and the blackmail. It started with the daughter offering guangming an apartment in a good school zone for tingting at cost price but he had to divorce his wife in order to qualify for that. That was a scam ... there was no apartment left on the scheme except that the father and daughter had bought the last one and they were willing to sell it to guangming if he divorced his wife to pave the way for the daughter to seduce guangming. After the divorce dingxue, guangming's wife found that out and accused the husband of cheating on her. This led to the making of this drama into 38 episodes 😅😅😅
He never flirted with other women and he never blamed his wife for his own cheating ... He fell into the trap set up by the li father and daughter of a fake divorce in order to secure a home in a good school zone for his daughter Tinting ... which was a set up as there was no such thing and also the scheme was sold out. And the father had bought the last one which he plotted to sell to Xu Guangming at cost price if he divorce his wife. Guangming and wife, Dingxue thought that's a bargain and did that against Lao Qi's (Dingxue's mother) advice. The old lady could sense something fishy going on. They didn't listen and went ahead with the divorce. Dingxue found out a little late and also found out that li mengzhu was on to her husband. Actually Xu Guangming was never interested in li until she lied to him that she was pregnant with his child during a one night stand when he was drunk. So actually he never cheated on his wife. It's all a set up by the father and daughter with lies. Xu Guangming was stupid and a bloody fool. This series is about lies, criminal plots of trade secrets and greed. But at the end truth and and family love and loyalty triumphed.

These type of women are absolutely despicable, pretending to sleep with a drunken married man with a family, pretending to be pregnant, forcing a divorce so you can marry said man, stealing his life’s research, she is absolutely vile and then saying I love you, are you for real!!!!
Yet she didn't admit to be the mistress when dingxue called her that. And the stupid guangming didn't deny that. She's like you said vile, shameless with no dignity or integrity ... she lied and stole his research notes, breaking up his family and at the end destroying his career too. Still professing that she truly loved him. What a joke from a twenty-four year old adult! Even a six year old would come out with a better reasoning or logic. I really wonder how she got her degree with such low mentality and reasoning .. getting her supervisors "drunk" and then "sleeping" with them and blackmailing and forcing them to pass her or plagiarized their research notes like what she did to guangming, the "big fish" ( more like a gullible fool). Oh I forgot she's forced by her father to do all these i.e. actually the father "prostituted" her .... boy oh boy. Still after being exposed by so many people she's still denying the vile and devious deeds. Is there something wrong with this woman - delusional or emotionally lacking. Everything the father and daughter did to guangming and family was for the "good" of guangming ... what a joke ... what logic was that ...
Isn't it a bit late for li mengzhu to apologize to guangming for what she had done. It's not only guangming who'd suffered humiliation but also been hurt, his family was also broken up and the hurt and pain that they had to go through just because of the father's greed and her obsession with guangming.
Anyway after guangming told her that he now realized that dingxue was the only woman for him as she'd never stab him in the back, lj mengzhu's facial expression showed that she still didn't accept that she had done anything wrong to guangming because she loved him ... she's really delusional and deranged.

What people like the mistress call 'love' is just a noose around their obsessions neck, getting tighter and tighter with every wrong-doing and cheap trick they do in the name of 'love' and then when the object of their obsession manages to free themselves at the last minute by unmasking the obsessed true, ugly face they're shocked when 'I love you' is no longer believed or a immediately forgiven of their sins as they were before they were unmasked.
She knew he was married with a *child* and still made him think they spent the night together and she was pregnant to force him to divorce his wife. Yes, he put himself in that situation, but she did everything in her power to draw him in, so neither is innocent, but she especially isn't. Then among other thing including flaunting having broken up a family, she stole key information about a project he'd been working on for *years* and gave it to her father who used it to both ruin him and make himself and his daughter even more wealthy. All this and she still has the gall to play victim and say 'I love you' with a straight face? Sickening. It makes you wonder at the dark twists in her psyche that she can actually justify it to herself that she is deserving of love. I mean the guy is ultimately an a-hole for falling for her act over and over again and then trying to sabotage his ex-wife's attempts to move on...maybe they do deserve each other. The only real innocent in this show seems to be the little girl caught in the middle of it all.
Like the way you put and summing up the whole bizarre situation. She lacked moral, dignity and integrity. She's only kidding herself because at the end the father and daughter act was exposed (which should had been exposed long time ago, but then we wouldn't have this movie). I wonder how she got her degree from the University with her own project ... did she do the same thing "targeting" her professor(s) and supervisor(s) like she did to guangming ... finding them drunk and taking them home then pretending to be pregnant, etc, etc .... what a loose woman
Dingxue on the other hand may not be a graduate on science but she worked at what she's good at ... a singer without "prostituting" herself to bring up a daughter as a single mother. She worked hard and not lie, cheat, or steal. She's upfront with her feelings and she had dignity and integrity as well as morals ... she loved guangming but she never used that to try and get him back or blackmail him ... yes she'd a bad temper and a quick and sharp tongue but at least she's honest and sincere with him and wouldn't backstab him .... he realized that and appreciated that now.
Funny how she's 'sobbing' and constantly putting the hair out of her eyes and yet I can only see a single tear falling down her face. even though she moves her head around a lot while she shrugging off all the awful lies she told for 'love'.

I don't even want to know the title of this drama but watching this clip tells me it's another toxic drama with the schemers get away with what they have done because they are either forgiven or the situation was let go. The law, the reason for its creation, should punish those who have committed crimes because shat they have done did not only affect a person but others,along the way.

These dramas are actually hiarious. These writers have to come up with a new plot. I don't understand how a man don't know if he has sex or not. Sex is messy, sticky, residue, smell, stains etc.
