Hello my Beautiful People! Welcome back! I am so thrilled to be playing with some new products today that I really think you are going to love!
I've been exploring the wonderful world of Texture in my art work and it's definitely taken me out of my comfort zone. I have really had a lot of fun playing and seeing how different product create different effects.
Today I am using 151 All Purpose Filler for the background texture. (I got it from Amazon)
I'm also using Golden's Glass Bead Gel, which has pleasantly delighted me since my friend Kelly from @feralart22 showed it to me. You can find it where Golden products are sold. It's really something special, I hope you love it as much as I do!
I'm using an 18x24 inch gallery wrapped canvas from Artist Loft.
I'm using a few of the This Little Piggy pigments: Sapphire, Unicorn and Billabong.

I am using an 18 inch mandala stencil that I got from Amazon a few years ago. If you clean your stencils and store them properly you can reuse them over and over again.
I'm using a nail brush to create waves of texture in the All Purpose Filler. I think it came out wonderfully. I love using unexpected things to create awesome effects like that.
I hope you enjoy this video and the final piece. When it was still wet I felt like it needed something (this was after we stopped filming) and I added another bit of the mandala stencil to a corner using Glass Bead Gel and TLP Billabong. I honestly think that is my favorite part!
Knowing that the Unicorn would dry with that gorgeous color shifting magic, I was not worried about how it looked wet. Once it started to dry and I could see all the Glass Beads Shimmering and Sparkling I was extremely happy with this piece!

Ahhh Mina, this is so different and fun. Love the textures of course and love the Billibong tlp colors of blue & gold. Your t-shirt is so cute with the bear. In the video he looked like he'd just finished helping you make the Mandala and down the road he goes to tell everyone to go to Mina's & HoA's home. Ha ha. I love the experience of the glass beads and mandalla. It dried so pretty and full of sparkles. Oh and the sounds & scrapping were awesome and soothing!😊

That's awesome! I also really liked the sounds of the textured materials you applied to the stencils, ASMR kind of thing. Does the bead glass gel need to be mixed with a medium before applying? Or can I use it as is?
Hi, what medium are you using to create the heavy thick texture??
Once you start working with texture and your art becomes more intentional...you will have trouble returning to pouring! You will see what kind of artist emerges...rather than seeing if you got an interesting pour. ❤
