Special Thank you to Teresa, Wayne, Ithram, Linda (no last names, safety first, you know who you are) and the rest who have contacted me via email in need of help. I shared your email plus the many who commented on the videos to secure a great deal on this Bandsaw. It's only because of you all. I'm very humbled.
In this video I just assumable the Harvey mobile base . At the time of the filming of this video Harvey was offering the mobile base free with the purchase of the bandsaw. For 1 day they actually offered this bandsaw with an additional $100.00 off for a sale price of $2399.99. But that has expired.

When you make the follow-on video that you referred to, please demonstrate this mobile base in action. How easy is it to lower the wheels, and how well does it maneuver?
AWESOME Rick, well done. Yes it is a heavy piece of machinery, but you did it and it was well performed. God Bless you and stay safe. Looking forward to the next event. It will be fine Rick no worries my friend!!!!!
Dave Thank you for the kind Worlds. a little side tracked my grandmother passed while i was in Mexico so dealing with that helping my mother. All is good videos a lil delayed now. Thanks for viewing.
Great Video and information, I was wanting to know the footprint size overall with the saw in the mobil base. Thank you for showing how it is done.
rs71355 i went out and measured it 24"x33" overall for the base but the saw is wider with the iron table
That's a scary approach. It's much easier to simply set the saw on the mobile base first, without the bolts in-place, and then line up the mounting holes with the corner holes in the mobile base. They line right up. That's why they say to add a 1/2" all around, and not a 1/4". Then slide some 3" long bolts through and tighten. Done. No dangerous balancing act required. You have to supply your own 3" bolts, as I think they intend for you to just use the heavy rubber feet without thru-bolting it. cheers
Looking forward on your review of this saw. I am considering the Harvey Ambassador 14 bandsaw as it used to be made for Laguna as the SUV-14 model. It is a little smaller and more compact model do you have any feedback on this smaller model or Harvey equipment?
John do what the budget and shop space allow. There is nothing wrong with the Ambassador I just plan on doing a LOT of resaw so I was leaning for a heavier duty saw. For general use in most shops the Ambassador will do just fine. I have an older Delta 14" band saw I've had for 15+ years. No issue Its my general purpose saw now mainly for circle cutting and small projects tool. Hopefully I'll get the Harvey put together this week. video will follow.
why the hell you played the music so LOUD? ruined it!
