So glad I was finally able to see them! Not kidding, it was the most beautiful thing I've ever experienced and I was barely able to hold my tears of joy during the first songs.
Really love the videos, keep up the good work. Going make a suggestion for both of you guys, but I do feel the need to explain something first. My first ever band I was a actual true fan of was Pink Floyd, to this day own every album they have ever made. In High School a friend got me into Tool and I of course became a huge fan of theirs. The third band I ever really got into is Infected Mushroom. But even if its just in your free time check out "Saeed" by Infected Mushroom.
I was at this show. Over 2 nights they played every song but 2 from Opiate, Undertow and Aenema,.....plus a bunch of covers and had guests. Twas a great 2 evenings. To anyone who hit that fat joint I left for you in the mens room, you're welcome.
I've been listening to TooL for over 20 years and this particular version in my opinion is by far one of the best performances of all time. You are blessed for this to be a first time listener of this song. Welcome to the rabbit hole of TooL. Although unfortunately you are not aware of the 11th commandment. Though shall not ever talk or pause a TooL song, especially if its your first time hearing it.
cranboogie cranboogie Same. I have always thought that. Still unsure. And Wallace said that when they reacted to the Ænima version if I am not mistaken.
It is 'fear' just pronounced more like 'faer'. Would point you to official lyrics but their website is fucking broken. The best source should be toolshed.down.net/lyrics/salivallyrics.php#03
brian whitney well actually I’ve seen that vid 100s of times by now like most Tool fans. And he doesn’t play it identical to what’s on the record. During some parts he tries to add more other parts he takes away some subtleties
The tabla section is not all Danny Carey. Part of it is played live by the master tabla player Aloke Dutta.
DUET
when you are listening to a live Tool song do you ever have to stop and remind yourself that what you are hearing is LIVE
Definitely do a video about how you enjoyed the concert. I'm so sad i couldn't go to their one show in my country.
So glad I was finally able to see them! Not kidding, it was the most beautiful thing I've ever experienced and I was barely able to hold my tears of joy during the first songs.
This new type of videos melts my heart. Love it! More videos like that!
Few months ago "This is Tool your new favorite band" and she just laughed XD
Actually it’s a drum and tabla duet. The guy who is teaching Danny the tabla is playing on this track.
Both versions are my favorite song. Nice reaction, thanks
"It will end no other way" he sings while ending the song exactly how it ended on the album. Brilliant.
Flash! Small world!
@@rosecandy117 YOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
@@stupendoushorrendous8258 Hi!
@Chris M Yes. The ending of the live track sounded the same as the ending of the Ænima version.
Great video as always, guys. Glad you made it there and back safe and sound.
loved how you fragmented her reaction, nice one. And you two look really cute togheter
You should have had her react to the live version with dude getting taken down by MJK.
Lol I remember that.
@@IceKoldKilla with all due respect, you have a lateralus pfp, ofc you remember that
The Tabla solo is played by Aloke Dutta, Danny's Tabla master. cheers!

She should watch the Pneuma drum Cam video. Danny is such a beast. He can play a different rhythm with each arm and leg at the same time.
hey man
when are you doing the Lateralus ranked video? been looking forward to it for months
love that series
And I’m pretty sure it’s “there’s no love in that” instead of “there’s no love in fear”

Yeah, it's not "that". Definitely "fear"
Also I think it’s “staring down the hole again” not “staring down the hall again”
You 2 need to watch the Danny Cam of numa that will tell you everything he does is incredible and planned

Closing your eyes is important when listening to Tool
You should do Mogwai!
Agreed!
Nobody EVER closes their eyes, shame. 🖤🤘🏽
After he heals, he'll play the songs and remember
Great directing and editing. Idk the video was smooth.
get some surround noise cancelling head phones next time. only way to enjoy tool is by appreciating every tiny detail
Nobody gonna mention that badass baseline towards the end. Really?
Easily one of Tool’s best works IMO
There's no love in pain? But, what of sacrifice? What of giving self?
The girl should call herself Grommet for this show
WOW 🤘
This guy looks like an off brand wildcat
What happened to these people?
Ever hear of Black Sabbath? They are the founders of heavy metal. I suggest War Pigs. Here's the link: czcams.com/video/O21FhciGDMM/video.html
I like the original version better
Said nobody ever
If he's where he doesn't wanna be, why doesn't he just leave? lol
If you think dying and going to heaven is a better place than here, why dont you...? Lol
I really dislike this 'new' version. Love the original. Might be the only Tool song I don't love
