One of my favorite tracks from the 80s.
Everything She Wants by Wham!
Written by George Michael (1984)
Featured the Roland Juno-106 (1984), the Roland SH-101 (1981), the PPG wave 2.2 (1982) and the Simmons SDS-8 e-drum system
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers.
Check out the original songs with the original artists here on CZcams.
Thank you.

One of the best synth pop jams of all time!!!
Wonderful song. Thank you for watching.
Both versions of this song are just killer
I didn't realize George Michael played the synths on his songs. very talented individual. still have my Faith 45 from 1987.
yes George was very talented.
Super talented , but he did not play instruments. The man had the entire idea in his head and would sing the parts to his incredible musicians, they would then recreate the part.
@@krimsonfunk I'm not a george michael expert, but according to wikipedia, he played the synth parts on "I want your sex." also according to wikipedia, he played keyboards, bass and drums. wikipedia hasn't steered me wrong yet.
@@connor_flanigan lol, you probably wouldn’t believe I knew him personally would you ?
@@krimsonfunk I'm sure he knew a lot of people.
you're playing my childhood right there, first heard them in 1983.
The best time.🎹🙌
What a dream it would have been to see GM composing his music on that instrument. He was a true talent. Rest in peace, dear George❤
🎹✨🙌
Juno 106 + PPG = great union! Отличный звук!
Большое спасибо,мой друг и удачной недели.
Amazing performance on such unique keyboards, a soundtrack for great memories in my life, I was just listening this album few days ago. I'm really thankful 👏👏👏👏
Thank you for your kind words 🙌
Perfection the brass stabs are so nice
Thank you
So 80s

Like that 101 bass ;)

Thank you 🙌🎹
обожаю каверы от вас, спасибо!
Большое спасибо за ваш отзыв. Я очень рад этому .
My mom introduced me to this song on Spotify and oh my gosh, it was so awesome. This version, i can still hear the lyrics in my head. Great job dude!
Thank you for your kind words 👍
@@retrosound72 Your welcome 😎👍
Ah great work. One of the best of the 1980s
Thank you 👍
Jammed right along with you on this. Great job! 👍🎹
Thank you for your time 🎹🙌🎹
Well done. Very fun.
The 101 is really bouncy and alive, then that PPG just cuts through with those top notes. Really good work.
Thanks a lot 🎹👍
Always Great Retrosound 👏 I always loved this song and especially the funky brass sound of the juno, I read George used a Juno 60 at that time... Thanks for this tribute and nostalgia for my youth ❤
yes and the JU106. You can saw the 106 and the 60 in the live performance.
Thank you for your time.
Brilliant cover! Epic sound quality. Bravo!
Thanks a lot 🙌
Spot on! You totally nailed it. Always was my fave Wham! song. Nice work 🤟🏻
Thank you 🎹🙌
Here they discovered their electro face, during a golden electro age. I do miss these sounds
good old 80s. So many memories.
Good work! The actuall synth for the bass used in the song was Juno-106 I read and watched in interviews.
thanks
Absolutely nailed it!
Thank you so much!
Excellent as always, Nice filter sound on the 106 :)
Thank you my friend 🎹🙌🎹
Man, if I hadn’t already bought 2 JX models by the time I learned George’s main synthesizer of choice on “Everything She Wants” was a Juno, I might’ve been inclined to blow my wallet on one. In my mind, the JX-8p or MKS-70 (each of which I currently own) is more than a match for a Juno.
The Juno bass boost is special. 🎹💥 Pads is a Jx fav. Bass is a Juno fav.
wow...fantastic again, I'm blown away again 👌🎧✨🤍💫😎
Thank you 🙌🎹
Your covers a great ever think of doing quite life for japan keep them coming
Thank you
Juno-106😍
🎹🙌
Wow this is the best I have heard right on.
Thank you!
Show perfeito
🎹🙌
You must love that tribal need live looper who destroys and bangs his juno106 playing live. Mine is treated as museum piece.
Ja es muss Knallen! :D
Really 80s vibes. It`s sounds awesome!
Thank you so much my friend.🙌🎹
I heard the song when it came out and I immediately thought the chords had that Roland filter envelope sound.
Yes made in the original record with the Juno106 too.
Fantastic!! The only slight improvement I suggest are the highlighly dissonant DX7 chorus string pads / carpeting at the final bars - (maybe decrease the LFO amount slightly) at the end of each chorus (the song ends with them)
thank you. My intention is not a perfect cover of my favorite songs. Nothing is better as the original. It`s my interpretation.
yes fully agreed! @@retrosound72 well done for your good work! keep them coming
Awesome!👍I would not have thought of trying an SH-101 for the bass, but it worked perfectly!👍
Thank you for your feedback
Best choice of tune. Thanx.❤
Thank you!
Fantastic
Thank you!
It's sooooooooooooo good..... love that P H A T sound.
Thank you for your time :)
There's nothing like it to unwind after a long day!
Excellent interpretation as usual. The sounds are just amazing. It smells like vintage. :)
Good old 80s✨
The best sound after a long day. 🎹🙌
Thank you for your time
Huge as usual ! Thanks !
Hammer 🔨 und das ohne Midi? Super! L G Majo
Vielen lieben Dank. Lange hier nicht mehr gesehen. 🎹🙌
It's inspiring to hear instruments played this well with such good sound quality. Thanks.
Thank you so much
"Some people work for a living
Some people work for fun
Girl, I just work for you
They told me marriage was a give and take
Well, you've shown me you can take
You've got some giving to do"
🎹🙌
Flipping excellent thanks❤❤❤❤
Thank you 🎹🙌
Excellent good job😉👍
Thank you 🎹🙌
Perfect❤
Thank you
Das Video hat mich dazu gebracht, einfach mal im Netz auf der Seite von Florian Anwander zu schauen, ob der SH-101 und der Juno-106 vergleichbare Filterchips nutzen. (Es gibt dort eine Übersichtstabelle.)
Wen's interessiert:
SH-101: "four OTA-stages integrated in Roland IR3109"
Juno-106: "four OTA-stages integrated in a 80017a chip (A10H800170) (similar to IR3109)"
Ja ich weiß und der Filterklang ist extrem ähnlich. Der 101 vCO macht aber mehr Dampf.🔥
I love this tune. Well done! :)
Thank you!
❤ Fantastic! ❤
Thank you!
Pls cover more songs using the Simmons drum 😁
Ok. 👍😁
@@retrosound72 Thanks :)
That was pretty much like the record.. good job.. is that a ARP QUADRA.. in the background ?? I would love to spend some time on one.
Thank you for watching.
Yes the Quadra. Next week I will upload a track with the synth
Great work !
I wouldn’t have thought about the SH-101 or 106 being used on that track for bass and pads when all big studios in 1984 had the Jupiter 8 and Oberheims and P-5s for sure. Also, the bells can sound exactly the same with a DX-7. What’s the source of the info about these 2 being used on the recording of the song?
Regardless, I like your recordings, I am a fan !
Thank you.
George Michael used the Juno106 in this track and other songs like I want your Sex. Last Christmas was Juno-60. I have the info from a interview in the Keyboard magazine. And you can see the Jumps played in live performances.
Fantastic demo and a lovely selection of synths being used here. I have a question, I notices you have a window letting in lots of sunlight? Don’t you have to watch that fading the colour of the synth buttons, case, etc ? Or do you cover them when not in use ? Anyway as always fantastic demo and close ups of you playing. Can’t believe how many classic synths you own now. You’re a lucky man to have a fantastic collection. Can’t wait until the next demo. Thanks for your time and work you put into this for us.
Hello Michael, thank you very much for your feedback which I really appreciate. It was especially fun to play this song. I have no problems with yellowed keys. There is a thin curtain in front of the window that filters the light. So the light is always subdued. Have a nice weekend. Next week with a synthi classic from the early 80s.
great , was this the kit used ?
yes, used on the original song.
George Michael was a big Juno fan.
Thank you
🖤
:)))
i heard george used juno106 for that bass tone
Yes.
🎼👍👍👌👌✌️🇫🇷🇫🇷
:))
the synth needs a bit more squelch for me.
Juno....the noise is the sound!
I could use a little more cowbell
Didn't want to "wear" the SH-101, then? 😉
But not today...😅🎹
