Watched this live. Thought it was the coolest thing! I’ve heard players mic’d up and managers chatting in the dugout before but this was next level with him. Great guy to have mic’d.
This was one of my favorite 'live on TV' baseball moments in memory..... My 6 year old instantly became a huge Manoah fan. He has been throwing whiffle balls at me saying 'by youuuu' all day. He just dug through all of his 2022 Topps and was super pumped to find a Manoah Future Stars card. Take notes MLB.... That is how you attract young fans.

Was hilarious to watch/listen to the mic'd up banter, awesome pitching performance, but the best was how much Alek gave Captain Kirk the accolades for pitch calling and framing and even trapping that foul tip. These guys in their early 20s! And they look like any dude you see in a bar having a pint!

When players are mic'd up in makes it so much more entertaining because you are able to get to understand not only the inner workings of how the game is played deeper in strategy but also you can feel connected with your favorite players. MLB needs to do it more often.

Fun!! I would watch more baseball if they did this more often, the players will get used to it and even get good at it. Then it will be really interesting. Of course in league games the announcers cant give player info. But everything else is awesome.

Bullpen cams just don’t cut it, and all the high school and college baseball cams are also very lacklustre. I agree 100% that it’s an amazing view; seeing it from the best pitchers in the world is amazing.

I played Alek in high school at southdade high. A lot of people don't know he's a 2 way player. In games he would hit 400ft bombs with a wooden bat. His size was also crazy he was 6'6 280 his junior year, he lost some weight coming to the big leagues.
