How To Set Up The North Face VE25 Tent. A Great 4 Season Tent. A nice upgrade from my old tent.

- I have always wanted The North Face VE25 but it was too expensive. I turned in my The North Face Mountain 25 tent due to some issues I was having and they warranted it for half the cost of the VE25. Their customer service is great. Set it up today for the first time. A great improvement from my previous tent. A great tent for camping in any season. I made a mistake during set up, I meant to say Mountain 25 when I actually said VE25. First impression is this will make a welcome change with Winter camping.

I have the generation of the VE 25 before the most recent one where the colors went to black and gold. Mine is gold and white, and the pole sleeves go all the way to the ground rather than having clips, and it has the little pucks on the side to hold the rain fly off of the inner tent. I think the newer version has added more clip points for lights and such over the version I have.
I have noticed that everybody who has made videos of the VE 25 considers the large vestibule as the main entrance to the tent. I don't think it is. I'd dare to say it's rare anybody who solo camps in the tent ever uses the entry through the small vestibule, but to me it is the main entrance. It's significantly easier to enter and exit the tent through and is right sized for leaving your shoes and rain gear at the door without taking up valuable storage space. It's not big enough for large gear. I consider the large vestibule as the BACK and secondary entrance. Here's why. It's larger size indicates it is intended to be where you store your back packs and larger items you don't want exposed to the weather. The two doors aren't there so you can choose which side you want to enter from, they're there to provide access to different backpacks from outside the tent as well as inside the tent. Yes, it can be used as a door, however, the only way you can is to get on your hands and knees and crawl , or spider crawl on your hands and toes from the vestibule doors to the tent door. You can't merely step into the tent. Try using the door at the small vestibule and see if you agree.
I just got the same tent on a pretty decent price. $540 delivered. Two question you might know the answer too. 1. Where do you attach the snow pockets to and what is that aluminum tub for?

You may want to try customer service. You can go to their website and download the paperwork with instructions.
So if you have a warranty and they make a new version, you can get the new version for half price?
