Hi guys happy Sunday! Hope you enjoy this tasty dessert! Please make sure you hit that LIKE button and share with a buddy who would make this for you! Also keep an eye out for Max who pops up in the vid! 🍌🍌🍌🍌
Nice Cameo, Max! You're a rising star.
Donal, I find beating/slightly whipping the caramel makes it easier to spread and smoother consistency.
Looks delicious 😋
Look absolutly delicious!
Saludos desde México. ☺
Funny enough im still a child so my fav dessert is actually bannoffe pie or strawberry trifle
For an extra depth in flavor add a small amount of coffee into the cream and it just makes it that tiny bit better
I would layer the biscuit base with dark chocolate first and then the dulce followed by the banana and then a little dulce whipped cream. That's my version!
Georgia Andrea yasssssss
And it's not a banoffee any more.
Your version is more like Banoffeelate
@@JohnnyBravoGn Sounds like my cup if tea. Oh la la .
Your version sounds way better, crunchie bar on top of dulce just sounds sickly sweet, sugar on sugar
“You don’t want to waste any”. THANK YOU!!! I hate when chefs just leave half the bowl full. And how easy is this cake?! Lovely!!!!
I just made this pie tonight for New Years Eve and it is delicious. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
I’ve first heard of banoffee pie from Kiera Knightly’s character in Love Actually and was never able to find it anywhere here in the States. I finally had it in London some years back and it was pretty amazing. I’m gonna have to give this recipe a try. 😋
This looks INCREDIBLE! There are two British desserts that I've always wanted to try... Sticky Toffee Pudding, and THIS! I'm going to have to find some Digestives and give this a go! Thank you!
Loved your fresh presentation!
I was thinking of making this for eid and was just going to look for your old banofee pie recipe that you probably did on another channel when I found this in my feed. This looks super fantastic! Thank you for the pie perfection. :)
Nom nom nom. I've only had banoffee pie once in my life, but I hope that my sister makes a version of this one day. She's always been the baker of the two of us.
My mom used to make Cherry Delight (no bake cherry cheese cake)... loved that.
and for some reason I keep smiling from ear to ear while watching this so, we're definitely gonna make this for iftar today. 😊
Going to try with the base. I normally just do mine flat. Good to see that you’ve done something that was originally made here in good old Sussex 😊😊
THIS SOUNDS AMAZONG DONAL! I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE lol but looks amazing
Awesome dessert🤩
Thank you for making it looks like easy to make dessert🤩🤩🤩
I’m excited to make it🤓
Oh I will have to make this for my 70th birthday! Growing up my favorite dessert was Mom's Chocolate Pudding Cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream . You know the one where you pour hot water over then bake. It's the best!
I remember when this was on Kitchen Hero! I made one with my dad after seeing it :D
No way!!! Now that is a throwback!!
WOW! This looks wonderful!
Max in the background! What a cutie pie! And the banoffee looks delicious too 😋
Donal, this recipe just is perfect!
my dad was actually knew the guys who invented the banoffee pie, it was in the early 70's at the Hungry Monk in Jevington, just outside Brighton/Eastbourne on the south coast of England
Jago Bridgland
Sure
A Excellent Video.. Highly Recommended.. Thank You Very Much For Sharing..
Omg so easy and tasty!!! Thank you so much !! ☺️ My favorite dessert as child was ice cream 🍦
Dear Donal,
Your banoffee pie looks wonderful. I have made this pie several times, and the one addition that I had learned to add was a coffee element. I learned that adding instant coffee to the cream gives a nice contrast of flavor that marries well with both the banana and toffee and also cuts through the sweetness a bit. I'm not sure if the coffee flavor was in the actual original recipe or not, but it does work well. Just my take on this delicious dessert.
Yes coffee is actually part of the original recipe, you made the original recipe without even knowing. Great job!
night ankh
Yes it’s the original recipe.
Banoffe pie stands for banana and coffee pie actually not banana and toffee like most ppl think
@@AmiAki That is what I learned as well.
@@AmiAki No ..it doesn’t .according to other British sources it’s Banana and toffee...you can add coffee but it’s NOT traditional.
The thumbnail alone literally made this the best banofee pie EVER!! 😍❤
I love Digestive biscuits and I love your videos!!!
Edit: I'm imagining the caramel as chocolate and the bananas as chocolate chips!! 😍
Tempting dessert and healthy too
You just upgraded what is normally called a "Banoffee Pie" with your touch! Great video, as always!! Hope to see Noah running around with Max in the background !! :D
Going to make this tomorrow looks yummy!
Banoffee pie is like one of my top 3 favourite desserts BUT somehow all I can think of now is that saucepan... I don't know why I find it so attractive. It looks like a mixing bowl with a handle. I want that.
It is a great and easy recipe. 6 ingredients. I love it.
Just wanna eat it now.... Just enjoying listening to you describe it.... I m hungry now..
So yummy
Max in the background is added bonus
Yummy.. easy and looks delicious.. I'd make it
Looks good and i always liked black forest cake
Pie Felicia!
Hi Donald, thanks for this recipe. I usually add a wee bit of caster sugar & a dash of coffee granules when I whip the cream. Tastes amazing!!!
Sorry for misspelling your name Donal 🤦🏻♀️

Didn’t know you could get them in LA!!
That is really good and yummy too 😋
I’ve made a similar recipe but I’ll add some powdered sugar to my cream and, on top, I just grate some dark chocolate, it’s amazing!!!
U r amazing Definitely going to buy your cook book if I can get it in this nightmare Covid 😭😭😭

And you Jk!
I don't know why they didn't have you doing SATURDAY KITCHEN full time on BBC when Jimmy Martin packed it in. You're by far the most natural host when you do it.
P.s. did you know James Martin is from Yorkshire?
Not sure if he's ever mentioned it before.
Max stealing the presentation at the end. 😍
I love that bowly saucepan! 😍 Where is it from??
It tastes yummy.
Me: paying attention about the cream.
Max walked in 'Oh MAXIE!'
It looks delicious 👍👍👍.May I to know about its recipe ?
Does anyone have any tips to make sure the base comes out this nicely and doesn't break?

Awesome
Can I use a graham cracker to make a crust, and cool whip for the topping.
I must disagree with you, that amount of cream is 100% necessary 👌🏻🤤

None of your videos would be complete without a cameo from Maxie
My favorite dessert is German Chocolate Cake. My Granma "Re made it for my birthday every year. I do not eat desserts anymore.
You’re crazy, Donal, with that amount of cream!!!!!
But I sure will do the same 😆
He's spectacular indeed
Does the crust hold if you don’t bake it?
Donal are you ever going to do another collab with SortedFood!?!?!?!?!? 😛😉
Asking the real questions here!
YES PLEASE DONAL
What can u use if you don’t have a cake tin ?
Which cream you use please tell me
Hi
Does the cream melt away if not refridgerated? And how long does the cream hold up if refridgerated? I want to make it for my birthday the night before!!
Make it up to the stage before adding bananas refrigerate overnight..before serving add sliced bananas ( if you do it too early bananas go brown) and add your whipped cream.
