That's cool that there's a slot to hold the bolt head in place so you only need one wrench.

Agreed about having a good snowblower despite having a service. We have a place in truckee, and often go up with friends and they quickly see whay we have a ton of shovels and two Hondas, one for the back patio, and one for the driveway, bc when you come up to ski and it’s 10am and the plow still ain’t come and there’s a foot or more of snow in the driveway, you’ll be glad to clear it on your own versus waiting all day for the service. Granted the service is necessary as a back up and since we don’t live up there full time.
Up until 10 days ago, we had very little snow in Wisconsin, but then, we got something like 12- 15 inches all at once. But its been this heavy wet stuff...or if it snows... it mixes with rain. Impossible to shovel...and even with a 2 stage thrower, if was awful--and then it all froze when we went sub zero. Thank God that I have the majority of my driveway (and where the village plows it on the end of it) done with a plow from the service.

I have my first Honda, (bought new)and I am changing these out like crazy. Never had this issue with my older MTD snowblowers that were bought used.

My boyfriend lost a bumper trying to drive thru a berm..
It was late, it was cold, he was tired.. anyways, 1000k lesson learned ! Don’t try it ! lol
I once worked with a snapper blower and the pins would shear off almost every other hour of use we finally bite the bullet and stop using them because in the ice and snow it took forever to replace them. At least your snow is more manageable this year so you can divert your attention to other things like your new pizza place which by the way looks great.
It;s pretty wild to see what it looks like around there without the multiple feet of snow on the ground. Had a neighbor get tired of the bolts breaking on his unit so he used heavier duty bolts - destroyed the gearbox in the process and couldn't figure out why it broke.
