I got the one piece LED headlights on mine and they look pretty nice on my opinion on my 95, I also might get a duck spoiler to replace the stock one
Nice 5--0 bro
beautiful car, i have a 94 gt and i’ve got some mods for it
i got one too whats mods u got for it so far? i’m looking to change mine up a little
awesome video dude u got a sub from me
just got a used but clean 97 gt myself:)
My 97 cobra last 4 digit # ends with 1320
Exhaust
Wheels
Gears
Lowering springs
Pi top end swap for 96-98 or Gt40 swap for 94 and 95s
That will definitely help wake up the GT cars. I’m going to do 4:10 or 3:73 in my car but im going to rebuild the whole rear end at once when I do it. New gears, seals, Axles.
@@jacksonsvt6249 go with 3:73’s, 4:10’s are too much and loose a lot of top end, and you’ll be loosing too much traction from digs
@@jacksonsvt6249 go with 410s if you have a 4.6.. I just did exactly what you said. Had a 373 rear. Swapped in a fully rebuilt new edge 410 rear I built. Runs way better with the 4.6.
@@petrolhead8851 what do you think youll top end will be with 4:10 gear, beca i was thinking of doing 4:10 gears, i really want to wake these up, soo 3:73 better ?
@@syonide6253 if you have a 96-04 gt go with 4.10’s, but your top end in 4th gear will be around 120pmh.. If you have a cobra, go with 3:73 gears, same thing if you have 94-95 gt or cobra go with 3:73 gears with 3:73 gears your top end in 4th gear will be around 140mph…don’t ever floor your car in 5th gear, you’ll blow your shit up!!!!
Flowmaster 40 sounds badass with a midpipe but they don't flow that well magnaflow, borla, slp or Mac exhaust all flow better. Mac sounds similar to flowmaster but unlike Flowmaster Mac is one of the highest flowing mufflers and they sound sick. Stingers do sound amazing I would go with mac or stingers.
You can make 350+ to the wheels fbo ported short runner intake and cams. That is decent power for 4.6 v8 from the early to mid 90s. The only thing that is real weak about these are the rods. They have forged cranked and the aluminum teksid block which is the stoutest block ever put into a mustang. So forged rods and pistons and you can make some power. They can make 400-450 wheel for a good while with good fuel and good tune.
You mentioned that you're running 17's and the bolt pattern.
What size tires are you running and do they rub?
Are you running wider width rims in the rear?
Sorry about that. They are 17x10 rear with 315 35 17 and 17x9 245 40 17. I don’t have any rubbing, but on past setups I have rubbed. These wheels sit just right in the fender so they don’t rub.
Very clean car man. Also I want an exhaust that is as obnoxious as possible when pinning it but when cruising not very loud - worried about the neighbours and the cops. What would you suggest?
Bassani has some nice catbacks that would do that for you. They just wont give you the obnoxious sound. Its hard to have both loud and quiet.
@@jacksonsvt6249 Yeah, I don’t need it to be necessarily quiet just not loud enough to get pulled over every day and for the neighbours to get angry.
What do you think the super 10’s sound like
I had them on a 2 valve car I used to own and I was not impressed by them.
Those ugly yellow fogs I just don't get it. I know it helps see in the rain (why drive this in the rain anyways unless it's a daily?). That thing is clean if the headlights were lightly tinted and fogs that match. The yellow fogs are fugly lol. Looks like a subi. You got it murdered out nicely the mods I said to the front lights would help alot imo. You can use a yellow led bulb just not the yellow tint (puke). Just my .02 you got a nice car I had a black 97 from 2004 to 2008 I miss it. I totalled it when I was just short of 25 years old. I was lucky to make it out alive but I miss it dearly.
X pipe sounds good h pipe sounds better. It is deeper and more muscular.
1st one should be a shiny “For Sale” sign.
If I can go back to the day I got my 96 cobra I’d focus on all the engine maintenance first! New plugs, wires, gaskets, hoses, serpentine belt, water pump, thermostat, coolant temperature sensor, and then move onto wheels and all the suspension stuff like coilovers, subframe connectors, eibach sway bars, panhard bar etc..then go with all the performance upgrades! I guarantee if you do it in that order you’ll have one reliable fun race/daily car
I’ve definitely had to replace all of those things within the 1st year of having mine. I agree with you on that. Didn’t think of it that way.
