The NYC to Paris Jordan’s are by far my favourite of the year, but they were pretty overshadowed by the La to Chicago’s I loved seeing how people customised them

@@jordanjenkins1973 I feel like the Red Octobers were definitely the kickstart to the way the shoe game functions these days but I feel like the the Off White Chicagos were the catalyst. As in the influence of ROs still stayed very much within the niche of trainers whereas the OW 1s brought them to the forefront of fashion. If you think about it, those Yeezys were still very the link between shoes and hip hop which has been a thing (thinking of Run-DMC for example) and kinda bringing it into lifestyle wear. But those Jordan 1s basically started the whole streetwear-into-high-fashion with the collab of designer branding and sports/lifestyle wear. I could go on for a while explaining the intricacies but hopefully this illustrates my point enough: essentially I think the OW Chicago 1s have had more of an impact on fashion as a whole than the Red Octobers.
Also, I think they're a better looking shoe than the Red Octobers

Arcode42 high end fashion into streetwear was happening with or without the sneakers actually. New designers like jerry, denma, Kim Jones and etc. were already doing all this and in positions in which we’re helping high end brands take notice. Nike x ow wasn’t even as influential as we all think without the idea of ten shoes being released because all virgil did was take the marketing strategy from Tom Sachs just with shoes people were more familiar with.

I would love to see a list on Japanese fashion labels on the west, and fashion labels (world wide) on Japanese street wear. Also maybe a prediction list on the next decade.

I love the jordan 5, 6, and 14 because I had the old school one's when I was a kid. As a 36 year old the Jordan 1 has really and recently been my favorite shoe.

My favorite Jordan 1 is the Saint Laurent SL/H10 (Black and Red).
I've never owned a pair of Air Jordan 1's but man, if I ever get a pair it'll have to be the Pine Green's. I know it isn't the most sought after pair but that colourway is just so incredibly clean!
Fuck yea man gotta agree. So many people sleep on these types of js cause they arent hyped collabs or retro colourways, personally I got a pair of game royals which is basically a budget pair of fragments.

Not For Resales are just an overrated copycat of another overrated J1 for hypebeasts. LA To Chicagos deserved that spot on this list, for sure. And the 3M trypophobia spots on the Origins just ruin the Chicago look, too gimmicky. I can see why some people did their best to rub off the spots. I'd say either the ROTY or Turbo Greens deserve that spot on this very short list. Both beautiful, versatile and different to any J1 that came before them.
