Where are you going to get gasoline in a post-apocalyptic world? Gasoline doesn't stay good for extended periods of time, so after around 6-12 months you've got problems getting fuel.
Ironically solar and electricity make more sense in that setting.

Alternatively you could use diesel fuel, which has a longer shelf life than petrol.
In terms of energy density, gas is on a whole other level.

And combustion engines can't even use all the energy stored. Combustion engines can at most be 47% efficient under perfect conditions.

Rubber lining the interior of the fender should dampen debris clang if you want use it on electric
Spray-on truck bed liner would be great for this
Great idea, Rust Check makes a really good rubberized fender liner/undercoating in a spray can, and they are a Canadian company. 👌
That's the equivalent of bringing a Diesel generator in the trunk of your Tesla, i love it.
Petrol engine powering an Electric motor, such a good design getting the best of both systems.
Auto balancing would have been a nightmare without the electric motor
you get the 'saving the planet' accolades of the electric motor that you can brag to all your friends about, while getting the longevity of a stable fuel source with the gas generator
It's more like a Prius Hybrid. All they need do now is have the motor auto start and stop when the battery drops below a certain voltage or becomes fully charged.

I loved the original videos that were so janky. Honestly, janky builds are more enjoyable than the smooth professional builds.

Hybrids are where it’s at!! We have so many years of development for ICE engines!! Why throw it away?? Chuck a small one on board and you’ve got cheap electricity!! Love it!
More expensive and dirty electricity but it's a fun concept!

@@chriswright6068 Cost wise most definitely, as for emissions, it was difficult to find data on these small engines but a coal power plant seemed to have at worst equal CO2 emissions at best as much as 50% lower per kWh.
As a rule of thumb however a large powerplant will always run at a drastically higher efficiency than a small engine as they can be much better optimized. It's also worth noting that not all power is generated by coal.
I only get get energy from hydro and nuclear (and a little bit of wind of solar probably) where I live for example.

I read the title and thought you guys were making a gas powered mechanical one wheel. I was slightly disappointed by just making a generator but it makes sense. You guys should try to make a mechanical one. Forward and reverse gears with a rotary clutch going to the axle maybe? I wonder if there’s any way to use a level of some sort to activate the forward or reverse gears mechanically. I’m just spitballing ideas, but you guys should definitely think about it. I think a fully gas powered mechanical one wheel would be amazing.

Hey! This 3D printing concept is getting wild! Instead of the usual filament, what if we built objects layer-by-layer from the inside out? Imagine a spinning container where we spray a special resin or even tiny wires, one layer at a time, with a UV light to cure it all in place. We could even have a robotic arm pick and place small components inside as we build! This way, we could create objects with different materials on the inside and outside, or even sneaky compartments hidden within. It's like building a treasure chest layer by layer! This might be a simpler way to get started with this "inside-out 3D printing" idea. What do you think? Could this be a cool new way to make things?

Guys, try to calculate the size and weight and the right voltage for a quadcopter that would lift a person. That is, a large quadcopter with a hybrid powerplant. No one in the world has ever done this before ) It is best that the entire structure weighs less than 114.9 kilograms, then it will not need a pilot's license.
