@@johanvandersandt8904 very interesting, I just checked it out; I wasn't even aware these puppies existed. It may be something for my Casio collection in the future..🤔
@@mordeth1964 Me neither so when I first saw it I thought it was fake. I did some research and spoke to the previous owner and when everything checked out I just had to take it at that price!
Agree totally with this review. I purchased a Cooper when I saw them on sale for $60, a price I thought was in line. Qimei I contacted me and said that price was for a dial only and for the misunderstandings they would honour a very special price of $100 USD. I asked for my money back and couldn’t get it. I ended up settling for $80 but had it less than a year before I took it apart. When I contacted them to see if I could buy parts to modify it they told me to order a new watch and would send me the parts and refund the difference. I tried and no they could only send me the watch. Cancelled my order successfully and will not try again.
Hello Aviv.. thanks for the review on this Qimei watch. I'm disappointed with the issues you documented with this watch. I know they can make a decent watch as over a year ago I purchased the Qimei model SM8019 which is a Benrus Type B homage. The only issue I had was with the lume on the dial which is very weak. The 120 click bezel is rock solid with no play and "almost" lines up. It also has the Seiko VH31 Quartz movement in it, which is great. For $100 i thought it was great value for the buck. I am looking at buying a different model than you reviewed here, not sure now. For $80 it might be hard to pass up! Thanks..
It might just all be a matter of bad quality control (or lack of any). But then again, you'd think they'd pick a good one to send out for a review... My Cooper Submaster (made by Qimei) isn't the best quality watch either, but I still love it's design. Their designs are very nice, they need to sort out the quality issues. Thanks for sharing your experience, I'm glad to hear you're happy with your watch!
I have this watch with another dial. This is a homage to a Bulova military watch. The reference is on the case back. I think it is a good watch with a quality case. My bezel works fine, but it is a question of luck. Please note that it is very rare to find a dive watch with 45mm diameter. Please also note that Qimei just made an automatic version with NH35A, saphire glass and ceramic bezel, which is a homage to the 50 Fathoms. I have it as well. It is a good watch but the bezel is not perfectly aligned. The lume is just ok. Still, overall a very good watch for the price, that can be improved (bezel, lume). It exists with and without logo. Steeldive and Addies also have QC issues. I had issues with NH35A movements not correctly regulated.
We in South Africa just got our electricity back after 2 hours of loadshedding and low and behold I open CZcams to see another video of one of my favorite watch channels! What good timing! I think you can excuse the thickness because of the 300m water resistance although I would swop it for a two piece nylon strap... Perhaps the bezel is simply defective on that unit. Unlikely but not impossible haha. The split dial is interesting but I would also rather opt for the Steeldive at $100. Perhaps its just on my side but the links don't work properly? I wanted to have a look but they take me to a weird order page.
I'm glad you got your electricity back! I think they just need to put more effort into their watches... Or take the price down! That's weird, the links seem to work just find for me 🤔
@@MyAffordableWatchCollection Might just be another South African problem haha. Only for a little while. They cut the power at midnight again haha. So that give me about 3 hours of power at a time.
Are the Cooper watches made by Qimei better quality? Cooper now has some versions assembled in Switzerland with German cases. Qimei watches look good, they have a nice logo and branding, unlike Steeldive/Addiesdive which make better watches. If only SD/AD would have better, smaller branding on the dial. The SD1970 Willard has hands that are too thin for my liking. But I love the sterile Tuna homage by Addiesdive. I love the nice hands and deep black glossy dial. It's a keeper, while I flipped the Willard due to the thin hands.
Hallo and happy new year to every one,it looks good but with all those issues dont worth it,if you like big cases the Citizen AW1410-32X for little more money is a bargain.😊
I received mine a few weeks ago. Very disappointing. Qimei told me to take the watch to a watchmaker to fix the bezel. They could have some real hits but they obviously don’t listen to customer feedback.
There is no reason to buy this watch. You can get better from the likes of Casio or Invicta for half the price. And that dial is just a dumb mess. If you offered it to me for $5, I'd pass, and save my pennies for a Duro or quartz Pro Diver.
Thank you for an honest review Aviv. Too many reviewers get free products and promote them even if they're cr*p. Your honesty is always appreciated!
That's a big price tag for a quartz diver when you consider the Casio Duro.
Appreciate your honesty by not recommending this one. 👍

Save yourself a handful of cash and buy a Casio Duro..👍
Absolutely agreed 💯
Recently picked up a weird Duro variant secondhand that looks almost new for $30. Its a MDV-300 which I have never seen before.

Wow that's a big watch! I don't understand why it has to be so big, eliminates a lot of the market
Many people like big watches. Only wish it was well made 🤷🏻♂️
I actually think it’s a good looking watch such a shame about the bezel and the movement
£40 max
Great review and thanks for the info Aviv 👊👌😀
Many of their watches look really good. Price to quality ratio just doesn't make sense 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for watching chef 😊

Their designs are very nice, but that's about it. Quality just isn't there I'm afraid.
For 100 bucks we can get TWO Casio duros with proven better quality.
The Duro is most definitely better quality and would be a better choice overall.
Basically just a blancpain swatch clone.
I don’t like the logo, or anything else! Thanks for the warning Aviv.
£20 max.
Not a mere copy, at least...
