É verdade!! Eu sou uma que vou continuar a ouvir as músicas dela . Ninguém vai comparar a ela. Será a melhor. Descanse em paz Sinéad e seja feliz com o teu menino.🙏🕊
One of my favourite toons from sinead, from the film, in the name of the father, I'm a Limerick woman, we lost doloros ó ríordáin and now Sinéad ó Connor, phenomenal songstress both may they RIP 🙏
My first time hearing this live version of a song that flat out captivated me when seeing "In the Name of the Father." She was a masterful vocalist. This proves it. And the musicians!
Tremendous live vocalist, and this version is a rare case of a live recording being nearly as flawlessly executed as the original studio recording. Her emotional commitment to every phrase and even the borderline crackups are things of beauty here. She did what she needed to do- dropped a lot of timeless, powerful music- and got herself out alive. One of my heroes.
Perfect in every respect she was, just like this song. A precious ❤gift for all of us. Bad people damaged her in their rage. I do hope we understand what we have finally lost. 🖤Rest in peace, Sister.🖤 I miss you.
I just read an article about her, lots actually. She said she knew she pissed off the record companies as they wouldn't make any money off of her after she tore up the picture of the pope. She was talking about the record companies, and she said she was born to play live. Unfaltering, clear, unadulterated true live voice.
I'm pretty tearing up the Pope's picture was a well planned & orchestrated event to tear down the patriarchal society, which is what the "New World Order" has been working on for over 100 years, whether she knew it or not. She's actually more of a traitor to the Irish along with her comrades Bono, and Roger Waters--not Irish, but whose father was a communist. There's nothing brave about what she did on SNL, because it's quite common to mock Catholics and Christians, they are the most persecuted people on earth. I do like this song and her singing though.
I was obsessed with this song when i first heard it. Few songs have touched me like this one did. Now listening to it after hearing about her passing. So heavy. So beautiful. May Allah grant you a home in Jannah Shuhada.
I cry each time I listen to that song : a masterpiece for a wonderful movie about a true story ; it was the Guildford four, and after the Maguire seven in 1974 ; Irish people injustly condemned by the English Justice just because they were Irish ; the English Police and Court failed one again, admitting their mistakes much too late, as too often !!! RIP Gerry and Giuseppe !
I'm English and was utterly disgusted. Patriotism is not my cup of tea either (I think Santana said as much in "Give And Take"). This woman was a hero for all humanity (whether they recognize it or not). A martyr. (July 26th 2023) 🙏💘
I love what you've said here. Pathos, and grace... This is my personal favorite song and performance by Sinead O'Conner. You posted this before her death... She was such a beautiful soul, but tortured just the same. 💔
@@liammeehan6592 Yes, I understand that, but this song sung (by the late) Sinead O'Connor stands alone as a beautiful piece of music, written by Bono, Morris Roycroft and Gavin Friday
Now THIS IS MUSIC! The world has become emptier for me because my Sister of all too similar painful adversity is exited TOO soon. My fellow artist, with a VOICE that filled the world with meaning and beauty , with that certain twist of Irish flavor . SINEAD has fallen asleep. A rare warrior for PEACE. What a legacy! My condolences to her family and to Ireland . 💔☘🥀🎶🕯🕶
Spellbound. My absolute fave live version of this incredible song. I'm surprised this song isn't ranked up there with her very best. Love the fiddle & traditional feel to the end of this. You can see her looking over and inwardly applauding because it was probably improvised a wee bit more than expected (or perhaps it was just that they nailed it & it made her smile). (July 26, 2023) 🙏💘
Excellent version! The strings, particularly. Even the vocal harmonizing. Sinéad is outstanding, of course, but the band provides a warm embrace to her singing.
Christ, so so superb this live version. Still one of my favourite songs....play it on a loop repeat when I walk for miles and miles. What an artist and what a good soul. Miss her🙏❤🌷🌷
AMAZING PERFORMANCE AND ARRANGEMENT. Sinead was such an amazing artist in every sense of the word! A powerful performer, vocalist, song writer, producer, activist, ... she could do it all. She had more talent and integrity than 99.99% of her peers. Had the media and people actually listened and heard what she was protesting in the early 90's - her shining light on the corruption and abuse coverups of the Catholic church -- perhaps a generation of children might have been spared victimization. Instead she was vilified, mocked, and dismissed at the time. It took 10 more years for the truth to be told and some accountability to be attempted for the church's systemic child abuse. She was a brave trail blazer who kept getting burnt nearly every step she took. Her resilience was Herculean. I grieve for her children and grandchildren - her death so early in their lives is a tragedy.
so sad too lose such a talent so young and worse still all the 2 faced pricks saying how good she was after her death rather then giving her the credit she deserved when she was with us. RIP Sinead.
Six months since your passing.......the ache inside will not leave me. Never grieved like this before for someone I never met. But then...you were pretty damned special, though you never knew how loved and treasured you were. I hope you are having a blast in Heaven. x💘
Its an epic version of this song, but what Sinead did was to try to bridge the gap between east and west and the world wasn't ready. Music is a universal language that has no borders on this little planet of ours and she did her best to eradicate all this with her music. Her voice is not like any others, I wish she could have stayed here longer, its all about timing. `I'm the same age as Sinead and I feel we have seen a lot in our time line on this crazy planet.. She gave her best and what a woman. No one sings from the heart as she does, we have been blessed to have heard her sing and so amazing it has been.
An Angel, such a loss......I don't think Sinead realised how much she was loved.

Toons? Was she a cartoonist? Also it's Dolores O'Riordan. Not hard to spell people's names correctly, especially if you're trying to pay respect.
