As always, thank you for watching, and have a nice day!
My Grandpa was a logger, had a '68 W-200 Crew Cab short bed Sweptline.
Ever since I've LOVED these things!
13:12 You're 100% spot on about that distributor location. I had an old military Dodge with a 318 in it. I used to plow snow for about 25 years and I ended up building a little roof over the distributor so the rain wouldn't mess with it anymore. Love 318's how tough they are but hate that distributor location.
It's amazing how many people don't know that Eastern Orygun and Western Oregon are really TWO completely different states, in pretty much every way.
Same with Washington.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. TOTALLY AWSOME EDUCATION. THANKS FOR SHARING. I LEARNED SO MUCH.
also under the dash, thatll rust if wiper grate is clogged. also along inside drip-rail. And doors as you stated.
I'm from the sweptline group. I have 4 of these, a 63 d300, a 65 d300, a 68 w200, and a 69 d300 I love these rigs. The 69 was my first vehicle
Very nice!
@@LambvinskisGarage And that box truck is awesome!!
How about selling a fellow Sweptline fan a chrome 64 grille, some real nice refrigerator style door handles, and the side trim for a 64 short wheelbase.
Would love to have that D 500
1st is a Clean Title under seller's name with VIN on title matching VIN on data plate. Check this before u fall in love with it. I love my '61 short & '64 long.
That is very important too! Unless the price is very right, then it's not so important haha.
I just got a super solid 68 power wagon only issue was the cab mounts are rotten inside the cab other then that it was immaculate. Ohh and the wooden floor boards in box are gone. But we found the entire history of the truck in the glove box including the owners manual from the dealer with the info of the company that bought it
Great video!!!
Thanks!
The automatic dash shifter was after the push button automatic. I have a 63 D100 poly utiliside with a push button.
Correct! I forgot about them when I did the video, I've never had one, yet!
A very important point omitted concerning two wheel drive one tons. From 1958 until 1968 they had specific wheels and drums. I have a 68 and a 65 D-300. The drums are impossible to find in usable condition. They can be relined but it is an expensive proposition 2k for both rear drums. The wheels like the drums are 6 on 7.250 bolt pattern . My 68 has 750.16 split rim tube/liner, my 65 has 17.5 which are tubeless, both very difficult to find. Axle swap is difficult and expensive, due to gearing and brake issues..
Yes! I did not know that at the time of making this video, I may make a new one with more information. This D400 needs rear axles aswell, unfortunately.
I bought my 69 power wagon in Forks Washington
Question: On the floor of that orange stake body: What is that headlight bucket from? I need buckets from a Grumman Olson Kurbside. Is that from behind the trims on a sweptline?
do. you still have the duelly with the slant six
U guys r to cool an I would buy a couple u r stickers l would do that
did "sweptline only refer to the cargo bed style? i read in old magazine ads that the old-style bed with external fenders was called the "utiline" by dodge , and the newer style bed that has integral fenders and is wide as the cab was called the sweptline
From my understanding, only the standard bed with the check mark is called a sweptline. You are correct that the external fender or step side beds are called utilines! I'm not sure what they would call them with a flat bed or the wide bed. Either way, I call them all sweptlines if they're 1961-1971 trucks.
Have you done any work to the front brakes on the D500? Do you know where I can buy a hub socket for the front axle? It seems to be about 2+1/4" octagon but I'm not sure and am having trouble finding that size online.
Any guidance is appreciated!
I have no! We haven't done much with the bigger D or W series stuff. Maybe ask some of the Facebook groups, they can possibly steer you in the right direction! There's some pretty good ones! Sweptline Owners Club, and Dodge Sweptline trucks
Tristan, check with Lang Tools! I have bought some stuff from them. I have a D400 1967 Fire Truck, have had it since 1989.
Looking for a D400 and where can I find one in decent condition with a slant six engine and 4 speed if possible 😊, Really love ❤ these Dodge trucks. 😊
Hey Mopar Guy
I've got a great 1968 D400 I was gonna drop a 12 valve in her. But a divorce stopped that ..
My floors were solids but it was rusted clear through above the windshield 😢
I just bought a 1969 D100 318 4spd.
What groups are there online to join.
I want to keep it all mechanical....like points and condenser...etc.
If you have Facebook, there are quite a few groups that do 1961-1971 Dodges. Sweptline Owners Club and Dodge Sweptline Trucks are my favorite ones.
i am looking for a Hyro-Vac brake booster for a 1966 D500 if you know of one. Truck only has 50,000 miles on it was parked for years brakes work but no booster power
Oh man we generally don't do stuff with trucks over D400, I think maybe the D200 has a booster but it's a goofy one. If you send me an email or a message on Facebook or Instagram, I can send you pics.
@@LambvinskisGarage yea they are under the floor and look different than most
I would Google "Booster Dewey" at northwest power brake exchange... The man REBUILDS ALL KINDS! He has been doing it for decades.
Has anyone got a Nice short wheelbase bed for a Sweptline for sale ? Also looking for super nice refrigerator style door handles, the stainless / chrome trim for a 64 swb, and a 64 Nice chrome grille ? Making my Nice 70 look like a 64. Thanks
Unfortunately the 69 d200 I have is rusted all the way up to the bottom door hinges. Not sure the cab is worth fixing. Unfortunately you dudes live a long way from me.
Do have extra 61-66 doors?
Sorry think I contacted you before
Find any 4x4 power wagons?
Not very often. If we do they're more than we want to pay.
@@LambvinskisGarage what's the going price for a good running power wagon, not fixed up or anything just running and driving and road worthy?
@Kolt Ten that depends on a lot of factors. On the east coast, these trucks bring a lot more money than they do on the west. Then, like I show in the video, all the rust spots are pretty important aswell! If you want, you're more than welcome to send me some pics either by email, Facebook, or Instagram!
@@koltten1293I bought the one in my profile pic 4 years ago for $1700 and drove it 400 miles home but it had rust in almost every spot he mentioned plus some more
DODGE RAM 101.
would you sell me that late 65 big headlight grille?
I have a few of them actually. Send me an email or a message on Facebook or Instagram!
Those trucks the 1 ton up were made in Israel and imported untill69
