I like so many of Sweed products, but their lip products are TOO WARM for me! The only one I like is Penelope Rose. I did get the dark berry shade of the Hourglass and really like it, but that was the only color cool enough for me (I prefer the Armani colors) and I got the Addiction Tokyo palette and can’t wait to use it! Fun reviews.
Hello, what about the lip liners? I can’t find enough cool pinky shade for one of my fave color it is Lancôme 444. I was looking for Sweed maybe (Ct and Huda are both too warm and others not even mention they either don’t even have any pink or even neutral pink and the cool one I can forget
Hi Lexi, another tremendously detailed review with tons of information most don't include. I now know I don't need to buy multiple shades of HG liquid blush and you reconfirmed the questionable dispensing method and went a step further noting you may eventually need to remove the plastic dropper. You always figure out everything and find the best way to deal with it should disaster eventually strike. The Sweed lip products are so pretty especially the pink, mauve, neutrals. Love the Addiction Tokyo palette...so gorgeous with a great mix of shades and finishes. Thank you for detailing the existing and new shades. I can't wait for you to receive their lip tints! I so appreciate your thorough reviews. I’ve seen reviews of the Hourglass blushes - and only the shades were discussed. That dispenser reminds me of the Surratt foundation. I love that foundation…but the component is so frustrating. I ended up cutting off the plunger and emptying it into another container! Thanks again!!
I agree about the surratt but their dispenser is slightly better than this one - not sure why though. This one doesn't have as much of a "button" to press - it's more flat.
I don’t *need* anymore brushes, but I’m coming to terms with the fact that, sigh, I’m a collector! And I don’t have any Tanseido brushes in my collection yet! I want to add Takeda, too. I don’t have any Addiction Tokyo either, and they’ve caught my eye after recently discovering Surratt’s shadows. Singles are about $20 USD, so a palette like this is a (relatively) good value.
It's tough to stop buying brushes. I know a lot of people are active in the resale market but at this point I can't bring myself to part with any. I'm glad I can save some for my kids, lol. It's a good excuse. I think you will like the AT shadows but please let me know your thoughts if you try them.
Great review! I’m not planning to expand my liquid blush collection. I still prefer the creamy stick blushes from Westman Atelier or powder blushes. I especially love the powder blushes from Armani. I just received my newest blush from Chanel - the berry tone that comes with a highlighter. Great for spring. Will probably pick up a Sweed lip pencil (I’ve used Sicily in the past.). Hi Lexi, I am curious about the Sweed brand. Have you tried their eyebrow pencil? If so, how do you like it? I currently use WA brow pencil and Victoria Beckham baby blade but would like a cheaper alternative. By the way, I bought WA lipstick in Pique, and it dries out my lips so badly.
I haven't tried that yet but I ordered a bunch of stuff. Some items were canceled so I'll have to see what ended up making it through. My order was delayed for a while because of the foundation i had ordered.

Woot!!! 🤗 I was going to skip the Hourglass liquid blush, but after seeing Vision on you, I think I’d like that shade a lot! It was really helpful to show how they look on top of it under foundation. I don't even understand the need for a liquid blush unless it's just a light iridescent. The TA is nice but (speaking for myself) I am drowning in eyeshadow palettes - and must own every colour in the universe by now.
I have the TF cream blush (I am so proud of myself for hitting pan on it 🙂 for that price I wanted to get my money's worth 🙂) I think I might have to try the NARS one. Thanks as always for all your hard work 🙂

Great video Lexi. Unfortunately I waited to order Addiction Tokyo palette as I wasn’t thrilled with the earlier eyeshadow quad that was released. Yesterday I finally saw a review from another CZcams video but they indicated palette sold out. Still listed sold out and really bummed, especially since just came out. Hi Lexi! Another great video! I only have the HG Scene and like it a lot; I definitely dispense it on my hand and apply it with a brush for a soft look. The dispenser is like the Rituel de Fille foundation - I have no problems with it, but it’s not my favorite. I got my AT palette on Saturday. I had been intrigued by your reviews in the past, so I thought it’d be a great way to start with the brand. I’m interested in the pinkier Sweed lip crayons. I use their lash growth serum, which seems to actually work and I have a brown mascara on standby, but am interested in trying more from the brand. I appreciate your explanations of brushes, definitely more in-depth than anyone else and very helpful! I have an old Kolinsky small fan brush I purchased at an art store (much cheaper than cosmetic purveyors), which is great to use as a cleanup brush when I have fallout - its stiffness allows me to flick powders off without leaving a smudge.
I am going to try the lash growth serum so I'm glad you mentioned it. It's on its way now but I was happy to see that it doesn't have prostaglandins so I'm hoping it works well for me. Now you made me want to find a kolinsky fan brush. That sounds like something I need!
@@LexiJong I’m glad to be able to help you for a change! The fan brush I got was a Windsor & Newton Cirrus 880 fan, Kolinsky Sable. Like I said, I got it at an art supply store. It’s small and thin, but sturdy and soft. Yesterday, I used the cool side of the AT palette and loved the look I created. For liner I used the new Chanel Ecorce crayon. I was surprised how easy it was to create a subtle wash of color with the Chanel berry blush! I hope you’ll have success with the Sweed lash growth serum as well. I wasn’t sure I’d find one without prostaglandins that is effective.

I got a notification that the Addiction Tokyo pallet is back in stock . I am honestly alittle scared because my first order wasn't such a great experience but I want it I think I just don't like the glitter shades but I do like the pearl and matt shades

Thank you for the video Lexi!! I was very curious about the new Hourglass liquid blushes but I think there are better dispensing products. The colors are very beautiful nonetheless. The Sweed lip crayons are gorgeous and look so pretty and Celine is my favorite. I still am so excited to try Addiction Tokyo. I’ve been forgoing foundation as I realize they just don’t look great on me and I always have difficulty with shade matches. I’ve been loving the powder blushes from RMS and a little bronzer from Sisley or Hermes for a little more color. Thank you for all of the swatches, demos and comparisons. ❤
I did a big Tanseido purchase last month but I have really liked their brushes for some time now. They are very reasonably priced. I prefer the red handles BTW. I am tempted to pickup the eyeliner brush. I also use Kolinsky for cream blush and lipstick pots. Everything is going to be much more expensive in fude soon. 12-30%, I heard. Kolinsky is harder to come by and harder to source, ethically. I am disappointed in the Hourglass blushes . Although they look lovely they will be a pass for me. Although I am fine with spending more money on packaging, I am not prepared to waste money on packaging! I am very tempted by the Sweed lip crayons. The ADDICTION Tokyo palette is gorgeous. I haven’t purchased anything from them yet. This looks like a great place to start. Thank you for the introduction and the detailed swatches.
Fude is definitely getting harder and more expensive all around and that's another reason I'm using to rationalize some of my purchases. If you have any specific recommendations, please share them! I'm really enjoying these Kolinsky brushes and now I want to try more. Sweed is having a sale in a couple of days so that might be a good time to try something.
@@LexiJong I’m really enjoying pine squirrel. It has softness, good pick up and a springy feel. I also find that the brush fibres are really durable. I like Tauhaus and Bisyodo for eye brushes. I bought the Tauhaus P-O2 cheek brush. I want to try it with foundations and blushes in liquid and cream formulas. Bisyodo has great Kolinsky eye and face brushes.
I love the Sweed lip liners and lip crayons. I can’t stop using Penelope Pink and I hope they add more cool tones. I’ve been eyeing the Addiction Tokyo palette. I ordered some items during the friends and family for addiction Tokyo and I’m still waiting for my order. Does it take a really long time in shipping? I assume it’s due to the sale?
I would love to see more cool tones too. I would reach out and see what is going on with your AT order. I am sure the sale impacted shipping but it seems like it's been long enough. Perhaps something went out of stock and they were waiting to fulfill a particular item. That's why my Sweed order took so long.
nice! I've realised that since going into medical menopause my nude and sheer lipsticks aren't really doing it (need a bit more pigment as I have patchy pigment on my lips (white patches) so perhaps a kind of brightened nude shade, and due to aging perhaps a cream finish) I am wondering if the chanel coco bloom in the shade chance would be a useful one to try? I've been re-watching lots of your older videos x
The Chantecaille are more gel-like in texture while these are definitely more watery. Both are beautiful on the skin but aside from the Chantecaille shade, Vibrant, the Chantecaille are much less pigmented.
The Sweed code didn't work :( * what do u recommend trying first from sweet . Did u get the other brown mascara the lift and separate one with the comb wand , I'm intrigued and the other brown cloud one maybe the tint but it's like nothing really beats the LE for me lol the lip crayon I'm eyeing 2 colors for sure beige rose and Penelope rose kinda was thinking about that glow powder too . I was hoping to get it on sale but I guess I missed it . Should have done it when they had the deal on the lip crayons . Lexi how’s the quality comparison to Addiction Tokyo regular single or quad shades with this 15th anniversary eyeshadow palette. Is it the same or do you detect differences?
Sometimes the quads seem to be a bit different but I would say that the singles I have that are repeat shades like mariage and thousand feathers feel the same. I think these feel more like the singles overall but some shades in the palette are softer in pigmentation than I expected and more similar to quad shades so it's a mix with more of them being like the singles.
They sort of melt into your skin and they set on me. No issues with them rubbing off or shifting during the day and there is no tacky feeling. Perhaps if you really pile on the pigment, there could be an issue with dry down on oilier skin types, but on my balanced skin, I've had not issues.
Honestly, the packaging for the Hourglass blush is kind of silly. It's so concentrated that even one drop is too much. I know they like to come out with brand new ideas, but seems to me it's more trouble than it's worth. Like the Sweed lip crayons, great shades. I have a few Sisley crayons, they're also very nice.

I don't own any liquid blushes (and only just bought my first liquid bronzer, the Makeup by Mario one), so I will probably pass on these (I also own almost all the HG powder blushes that they've ever come out with!).

Great video Lexi. Unfortunately I waited to order Addiction Tokyo palette as I wasn’t thrilled with the earlier eyeshadow quad that was released. Yesterday I finally saw a review from another CZcams video but they indicated palette sold out. Still listed sold out and really bummed, especially since just came out. I hope maybe will get more as I have signed up with my email 🤷🏼♀️

It did look beautiful on you but honestly don’t really appreciate how this company is doing things. Plenty of other options out there.

It looks like Toshiya is the best option for the palette. Definitely look into what you already have first.
Hi Lexi! Another great video! I only have the HG Scene and like it a lot; I definitely dispense it on my hand and apply it with a brush for a soft look. The dispenser is like the Rituel de Fille foundation - I have no problems with it, but it’s not my favorite. I got my AT palette on Saturday. I had been intrigued by your reviews in the past, so I thought it’d be a great way to start with the brand. I’m interested in the pinkier Sweed lip crayons. I use their lash growth serum, which seems to actually work and I have a brown mascara on standby, but am interested in trying more from the brand. I appreciate your explanations of brushes, definitely more in-depth than anyone else and very helpful! I have an old Kolinsky small fan brush I purchased at an art store (much cheaper than cosmetic purveyors), which is great to use as a cleanup brush when I have fallout - its stiffness allows me to flick powders off without leaving a smudge.
I am going to try the lash growth serum so I'm glad you mentioned it. It's on its way now but I was happy to see that it doesn't have prostaglandins so I'm hoping it works well for me. Now you made me want to find a kolinsky fan brush. That sounds like something I need!
@@LexiJong I’m glad to be able to help you for a change! The fan brush I got was a Windsor & Newton Cirrus 880 fan, Kolinsky Sable. Like I said, I got it at an art supply store. It’s small and thin, but sturdy and soft. Yesterday, I used the cool side of the AT palette and loved the look I created. For liner I used the new Chanel Ecorce crayon. I was surprised how easy it was to create a subtle wash of color with the Chanel berry blush! I hope you’ll have success with the Sweed lash growth serum as well. I wasn’t sure I’d find one without prostaglandins that is effective.

I got a notification that the Addiction Tokyo pallet is back in stock . I am honestly alittle scared because my first order wasn't such a great experience but I want it I think I just don't like the glitter shades but I do like the pearl and matt shades

Thank you for the video Lexi!! I was very curious about the new Hourglass liquid blushes but I think there are better dispensing products. The colors are very beautiful nonetheless. The Sweed lip crayons are gorgeous and look so pretty and Celine is my favorite. I still am so excited to try Addiction Tokyo. I’ve been forgoing foundation as I realize they just don’t look great on me and I always have difficulty with shade matches. I’ve been loving the powder blushes from RMS and a little bronzer from Sisley or Hermes for a little more color. Thank you for all of the swatches, demos and comparisons. ❤

I did a big Tanseido purchase last month but I have really liked their brushes for some time now. They are very reasonably priced. I prefer the red handles BTW. I am tempted to pickup the eyeliner brush. I also use Kolinsky for cream blush and lipstick pots. Everything is going to be much more expensive in fude soon. 12-30%, I heard. Kolinsky is harder to come by and harder to source, ethically.
I am disappointed in the Hourglass blushes . Although they look lovely they will be a pass for me. Although I am fine with spending more money on packaging, I am not prepared to waste money on packaging! I am very tempted by the Sweed lip crayons. The ADDICTION Tokyo palette is gorgeous. I haven’t purchased anything from them yet. This looks like a great place to start. Thank you for the introduction and the detailed swatches.
Fude is definitely getting harder and more expensive all around and that's another reason I'm using to rationalize some of my purchases. If you have any specific recommendations, please share them! I'm really enjoying these Kolinsky brushes and now I want to try more. Sweed is having a sale in a couple of days so that might be a good time to try something.
@@LexiJong I’m really enjoying pine squirrel. It has softness, good pick up and a springy feel. I also find that the brush fibres are really durable. I like Tauhaus and Bisyodo for eye brushes. I bought the Tauhaus P-O2 cheek brush. I want to try it with foundations and blushes in liquid and cream formulas. Bisyodo has great Kolinsky eye and face brushes.

I love the Sweed lip liners and lip crayons. I can’t stop using Penelope Pink and I hope they add more cool tones. I’ve been eyeing the Addiction Tokyo palette. I ordered some items during the friends and family for addiction Tokyo and I’m still waiting for my order. Does it take a really long time in shipping? I assume it’s due to the sale?
I would love to see more cool tones too. I would reach out and see what is going on with your AT order. I am sure the sale impacted shipping but it seems like it's been long enough. Perhaps something went out of stock and they were waiting to fulfill a particular item. That's why my Sweed order took so long.
The HG blushes are too warm for me & I think the dropper mechanism would drive me crazy! I prefer the colours of the Armani blushes.

nice! I've realised that since going into medical menopause my nude and sheer lipsticks aren't really doing it (need a bit more pigment as I have patchy pigment on my lips (white patches) so perhaps a kind of brightened nude shade, and due to aging perhaps a cream finish) I am wondering if the chanel coco bloom in the shade chance would be a useful one to try? I've been re-watching lots of your older videos x

The Chantecaille are more gel-like in texture while these are definitely more watery. Both are beautiful on the skin but aside from the Chantecaille shade, Vibrant, the Chantecaille are much less pigmented.

The Sweed code didn't work :( * what do u recommend trying first from sweet . Did u get the other brown mascara the lift and separate one with the comb wand , I'm intrigued and the other brown cloud one maybe the tint but it's like nothing really beats the LE for me lol the lip crayon I'm eyeing 2 colors for sure beige rose and Penelope rose kinda was thinking about that glow powder too . I was hoping to get it on sale but I guess I missed it . Should have done it when they had the deal on the lip crayons . Lexi how’s the quality comparison to Addiction Tokyo regular single or quad shades with this 15th anniversary eyeshadow palette. Is it the same or do you detect differences?
Sometimes the quads seem to be a bit different but I would say that the singles I have that are repeat shades like mariage and thousand feathers feel the same. I think these feel more like the singles overall but some shades in the palette are softer in pigmentation than I expected and more similar to quad shades so it's a mix with more of them being like the singles.
Do the blushes dry down? I’ve heard mixed responses on that
They sort of melt into your skin and they set on me. No issues with them rubbing off or shifting during the day and there is no tacky feeling. Perhaps if you really pile on the pigment, there could be an issue with dry down on oilier skin types, but on my balanced skin, I've had not issues.
Honestly, the packaging for the Hourglass blush is kind of silly. It's so concentrated that even one drop is too much. I know they like to come out with brand new ideas, but seems to me it's more trouble than it's worth. Like the Sweed lip crayons, great shades. I have a few Sisley crayons, they're also very nice.

Are you referring to me saying that the items are made in Korea? I was just reading it directly from the packaging and it didn't specify but you are right, they are made in South Korea.
