- On November 25, 1863, Union General William T. Sherman was tasked with assaulting the northern tip of Missionary Ridge, going up against entrenched Confederates of arguably one of the best divisions in the Confederate Army of Tennessee, the division of Major General Patrick Cleburne.
When I watched this first, I thought it was an odd beginning. But, realizing there are many viewers who cannot see, I though what a considerable opening. Well done all around!
I appreciate the park ranger’s knowledge of the subject. Thanks
My Great Great grandfather Private William Garner and my Great Great Great uncle Private John N Garner both of the 32nd Tennessee Infantry Regiment part of Browns brigade of Stewart's division fought at Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge
Greetings from the Milwaukee Regiment. Hurrah for the Union! On Wisconsin! Forward into their works!

He could have shortened this without the "uhs and oms."
We went to look out mountain several years ago. and was on a tour. It was told me that it was the KY volunteers, that was the first ones who' was 1st of the yanke's over the top, fighting the rebels. That blew my mind , because most of my family from ky. were rebel's. They fought for the south. That is when I found out the Ky was split with the different family's in Our state. Most of mine were rebels. A few fought for the north. Some to this day will not speak to the others. LOLOL Me being as old as I am could care less.
My real name is not al Capone either. Just a screen name.
Ahh um...to long to get to the point. Sorry gave up on this
A lot of us really love the detail. It's not meant to be basic.
Your loss.
