OMG after seeing the Danube view I'd like to go that way from Sofia to Vienna with night stays at hotels in Craiova and Budapest as I can't sleep on trains. Thank you!

What are your impressions about trains in different countries ? Which do you consider best and which are worst in your opinion ? I mean train stations, trains, their speed, cleanness and so on.

Looking only at these countries, the Baltic countries, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine. I like Polish trains, cleanliness, order, punctuality. Czech railways at a high level. I liked Ukraine, there are many night trains with sleeping cars, which is very convenient when traveling. Estonian trains. They have 38 Stadler FLIRT electric and diesel-electric trains. High level, although not fast.
The Latvian train fleet is very old, although it should have been renewed at the moment.
In Bulgaria, the trains are slow and dirty, the train stations are deserted except in the big cities. I haven't traveled much in Romania, so I don't have an opinion.
Sorry for my English, I'm bad at it.
